I need to gift my kid a train set but I am careful that I shud be providing him a set where he does not need to be too careful while playing. At 2:33 in your video you have mentioned "if not the train will stop of controller will be damaged" before that " so you have to set controller in same direction and speed". I wish to know what is the safest solution. Is there are one controller which can control multiple trains without any problems.
Unless your kid exceptionally wants life-like model trains, I don't recommend N scale to kids. It's too small and fragile. So If your kid is younger than 10 yrs old, you should play together. Also multiple track layout and control in N scale is not as easy as it look. How about a LEGO train set? LEGO train set is intuitive and way more suitable for kid to play with. But if your kid already old enough to wants precise model trains then don't worry too much. He would learn and nothing is unsafe. But multiple train control including what you asked(DCC control) in N scale is quite expensive and out of range for kids. Hope your kid enjoy gift.

Hi, I understand Kato and Tomix track is not compatible, but will the trains run on either track. K on T or T on K.
All N scale tracks are compatible. So is the train. Just Rail joiner or bed key shape is different. You can mod it easily.
