- Welcome to YOUNG MIND CREATIONS.
In this video I will show you how to interface LCD display to Arduino without potentiometer.
This is a simple Arduino project anyone can try at home.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For this project we need following components:
1. Arduino- amzn.to/2U3mBOh
2. LCD 16X2 Display-www.amazon.in/....
3. bread board- amzn.to/39NCRK0
4. jumper cables- amzn.to/2QaINos

i think i have to give u some respect 999+
works just fine, subscribed and liked, nobody else did it and worked so yes really useful
This is one of the best lcd tutorials. Thanks a lot!
Thanks
Nice 👍👍👍
Thank you SOOO much for this video
omg thx dude i could not find out houw to see the text and now i can thx
Best Tutorial
The kit says it comes with 10 wires that fit onto the display, female to male dupont wire.
How do you have 12 hooked up to the display in the video? Also, my pins point toward the back of the display, the opposite if what you have in the video.
How can I get the LCD running if I only have 10 cables? Did I get a defective box or am I just this much of a rookie?
hi, for second question. I suggest you to stick the lcd on the breadboard then connect it through wire (connect wire to breadboard then to arduino pin)
@@nurrashiqahabdulwahid6871 Thank You!
I don't think you need to connect V0 (contrast pin) to the digital pin 6 because you are noy using any potentiometer to control the contrast of the LCD display.
Even in your code, digital pin 6 is not defined.
Super
love u bro
Awesome
Nice 👍
Good job👌😃
Are things like this pin specific? if i dont attach E to pin 11, but instead pin 8, rewrite the coding would that work as well? simply just wondering as i am teaching myself.
Yes it will work
i think i did the connection right, but i seem to only be able to get black boxes on the display. I tried messing the the contast with both higher and lower values, but both thinkgs only made the display go all green, and show nothing..
Any suggestions? :-)
SAME HERE. DID YOU GET ANY HELP?
Same
which arduino do you have?
Hey there, even I got this issue when I used my new lcd display so I have used my old lcd display
So, my suggestion is please try with any old lcd display
Sorry for late response I had my exams going on.
Have a great day ☺️

can i do this and program it to be a timer instead?
like is that possible? need response asap :
Yes,it can be done by changing the code…
this code is not working on my pc because it is showing wrong
ive done this in tinkercad but,it says that the LCD is going to blast,it gave a message : "current through backlight led is 27ka
while max is 20ma"
what should i do?
Hello there, use a series resistance(300 ohm resistor) to reduce the flow of current of LCD backlight.
@@youngmindcreations202 okkk,tysm,ill try that out
Im using arduino uno, but the text is not showing, what do i do?
If is not working add delay - worked for me.
Where?
Can it write excloud English letters? Pls help!
yes, you can write if you change the code
Im getting boxes on my lcd display
Try using other lcd display
Even I faced the same problem when I used my new lcd display, so I tried it with my old lcd display and it worked..
Hope this helps!!

Hi there, please try using another LCD display
