You are NOT supposed to let the seatbelt lock. Only remove slack. Locking the seatbelt can break your click tight. The click tight is the locking mechanism.
Thanks for your comment, Mandy. I had edited the caption below the video to include that info. I appreciate you looking out for all the parents out there!
Locking the belt AFTER the seat is clicked tight is okay. It just doesnt need to be locked before you input the locking mechanism. When removed the seat, the seat belt needs to be undone as well before you lift the clicktight back up.

Christian Madison yes that is correct. That is called a soft lock. That is only recommended if the child plays with the seatbelt. However, locking it before shutting the panel in this video is what it's incorrect. I also doubt a soft lock would be needed for a ff 4.5 year old. I do a soft lock for my rf 15 month old, as he does play with the seatbelt and could accidently strangle himself.
Hi Ruth, Once installed can you actually change the recline position ? Or you have to set the angle before tightening everything ? Can't find infos about this matter. Thanks
Mmmmk… came to see a full Installation… that was useless 😂 I need to know how to tether 😂
Horrible video. What about the anchors? I’m here for the anchors.
Literally me too lol
But you forgot to say how to adjust the incline.

"Here I'm going to show you only one of the several steps needed for proper installation." USELESS!
🎉

You will have to set the recline each time it is installed.
Thank you

WHAT IF my car Doesn't have a TETHER?
You'll need to rearface until booster age, or call your car's manufacturer to get one retrofitted. Retrofitted tethers are free of charge.
Don’t buy this car seat. It rattles like crazy. I sent a video to customer service. Britax response is “that’s normal”
