This is a very easy hairdo, that we can even call a "Daddy 'Do"... (one that even a daddy can do!). All you need is a large hairband, a rat-tail comb, and a Topy Tail Tool (available in the right sidebar of my website (link found on my channel).

I miss this Mindy. I always liked how she was very straightforward with her videos and how she was more reserved in front of the camera... I feel like these past couple years she's become more frivolous.

I have been following you in social media now for about 6 months and you are my go to for when I need to learn something. This is GENIUS! I can never get the traditional way of using an elastic to work. Thank you 2010 Mindy for saving the day!
For anyone who wants to try this but hasn't got a Topsy Tail yet, you might be able to try this:
My hair is long enough that wrapping wasn't hard, so I was able to just stick my finger (from my NON dominant hand) through a loop of the elastic before starting the wrap. I kept my finger in there while I wrapped with my dominant hand. Then used that finger to pull the strand of hair thru.
It actually worked really well. But I'm still going to get myself one of those tools! :-P

This hairstyle is so easy! Love it!
For anyone with braces who doesn't have a Topsy Tail, you could use one of those floss threaders you get from the orthodontist instead. I noticed that they're the exact same shape, and they would probably be easier to slip through the elastic because they're so much thinner.

thats so cute. I don't have kids but i"m a hairdresser and most of the times that I do a little girls cut they usually like something fun with it as opposed to just blown dry and straight. So thanks, this is cute even for tweens or so.

Thank you so much. I have been looking for away to do this without the bobby pins because they always slip out. I didn't have the topsy tail tool, but I had some pipe cleaners that I used to make one for this purpose. It was so easy and it stays so well.

I got a topsy tail at claire's! It is around 6.87$ Canadian, and 6.00$ American! Not that expensive since you get a little one and a big one! Or if u don't want to spend money mindy has a video on how to make a homemade one!!! It's great!!!! Amazing video like always!!!!!!!!!!
