Couple things NOT in the video: Hero's Will can prevent web skill lock but it can't destroy a bunch of webs (sadly), also prevents the reverse from push attacks The ropes in phase 3 will act as pseudo guidelines to outranging some of Will's attacks Overall difficulty from hardest to least is Phase 2 > Phase 3 > Phase 1 (Phase 3 is harder the worse your DPS is) I purposely don't cover stat requirements because it's so flexible for different classes/legions. Try him for yourself and see if you can do him! With the changes to phase 1 and 2 health gating practicing Will has never been easier and faster!
Very detailed video. It's gonna be perfect for my mate who really hates p2. One thing though. The timed triggers of tests in P1 and P2 have been removed. Now the tests start as soon as the health bars are depleted. If you fail the test, both health bars go back to 50% each :)
Honestly after figuring out to start BEFORE the legs hit during crack in the test p2 becomes a joke. If you get super lucky and have to only stand on the left for the non crack legs it's even easier. P2 only sucks if people fk up.
I've already cleared with a different guide video, but I really like and appreciate how well made your videos are! I hope you continue into tene, both n and c. I'm sure you're helping a lot of people get over that "raid fear", and into the content they want to play. Looking forward to more videos man!
Great guide. One thing I want to add on the way I do P2 tests: When the test begins, go to the left wall. - If no screen crack, you just hug the left wall and you're safe. - If screen crack, position yourself at the first pillar, the first leg will hit around there. After each hit, slowly walk to the right, and you can do some mini-adjustments after each leg's indicator.
Just hopped over from your main channel - your guides and style of video editing are so wonderfully clean and informative, so seeing you come to a community that desperately needs all the information and clarity it can get is such a blessing. Thank you for the hard work and effort you put into your content Rath, keep it up, and lets all cross our fingers for Nexon to grow up a little bit in the upcoming times!
thank you for this video. you have a very good voice. i am 50% deaf and most youtubers have weird accents i cant understand or talk quiet so i cant hear. but you made a good video and i finally cleared will after 2 years. the p2 test held me back for ages
Finally beat easy mode! Couldn’t understand the mechanics before but your crystal trick for phase 2 was so useful. I feel like I can finally practice and learn the boss now
amazing guide!! i do think it is very important to mention the party exclusive mechanics in this fight: as you'll most likely find struggle parties fighting will together. still amazing content as always, rath
I'm pure solo which is why I didn't mention party specific mechanics in depth. I don't know for myself if they changed or not I don't feel confident speaking on them. Luckily some commenters got that info covered!
Some points I want to add: If you're in Reboot trying to get 5%, keep in mind the arcane force requirement is 1140 arcane force to deal full damage (1.5x). This can be unexpected if you're a new 260 hyper burn lacking in arcane force and cruised straight into Cernium. Each boss in Arcane River has a bit of a jump in arcane force. From Lucid (540) to Will (1140) to VHilla (1350). Blue balls in each phase are the main difficulty when bursting. If you move through them then they do nothing but if you stand still then they will spawn-despawn on top of you and grind through your health extremely quickly. If you have a RoR during burst, the blue balls will pressure you to move out of the field and will likely kill you unexpectedly (unless you through the burst) especially if you're a thief with Last Resort, learning to maneuver within a RoR field while dodging blue balls takes practice. Poison in P3 is a big 30% FD buff, it's worth delaying your burst and waiting for poison to start. You can prep your long CD's (60 seconds like Epic Adventure, Maple Goddess Blessing) a bit early (even before phasing in from P2) and then slowly spread out mediums (30 seconds like Vicious Shot, Overdrive). Then, when Poison spawns you pop short CD's (Oz Ring, Last Resort, AB Link, Instinctual Combo, etc) and start bursting (like Origin skill) to get the most out of poison. You can ignore poison timing in a party since it's random who gets it. If you're min clearing, it's essential to learn to burst with poison up to beat the soft enrage timer with the webs. Legs in P3 have a smaller hitbox, don't get confused with other parts. In P3 you can thread the needle between legs where you would absolutely get hit in P1 or P2. White Eyes for TP classes is easier solo but seemingly randomish timing in a party, good luck. I don't think I've ever died to Yellow Eyes even when trying to die to it, it may as well just be an .
Thank you so much for the diagram for exactly where to stand on the second test! I couldn't pass it consistently, but I used the diagram and just cleared hard will for the first time!
just did my first h will solo omgggggggggg thank you lmao! i was struggling with staying alive in p2. Everytime i got to p3 i would only have like 3-5 lives left
It’s only fitting as a 270 dawn warrior main myself with the ign xZinogre subscribe to a guy named rath that puts monhun noises in his mushroom game videos!! A1 boss guide content dood i love it! 🤩
Amazing guide! However I'd like to note at 2:40 you don't "die" as the death "status effect" is completely different from taking damage that would lethal you. Instead you take 100%HP damage. Meaning you can this if timed correctly or simply ignore it if you have damage reduction and are at full health, neither of which are recommended because you'll have more than enough moonlight to swap and this is the safer alternative anyway. To pass the tests in both phases you don't _actually_ have to interact with the tests you simply need to survive. Your best bet is to play the tests but some classes can potentially do so through other means.
Would love a video on general progression (especially after/during LuWill and beyond), like which bosses to do and learn after LuWill (as well as Tenebris bosses guide), being Black Mage ready, etc
If you're a MAGE and keep dying to the P3 white eye "move" attack, it's because you can't just walk out of it and teleport is a blink. If you only teleport during the attack, you will die. Flash jump classes jump before the attack lands because their "original" position at the time of the attack is registered while they're flying through the air and already in motion to a new location. For teleport classes, you need to teleport away from your spot a split second AFTER he hits the ground. If the timing is difficult, just keep teleporting until the attack passes. Shout out to Pinkberry for noting this in their guide because all Will videos seem to be made by people who exclusively play flash jump classes.
Just a minor tip for p2 test no-crack is that if you're out of position (or bored) you can go back to where the last attack hit as no attack will hit the same place twice
Something I didn't see addressed in the video (nor can find anything about online) is how to effectively destroy the webs in phase 3, as a lot of time even with the moonlight skill active, walking into them won't properly destroy them. I can't tell if this is due to server lag or if various nets need to be touched in certain areas but would love to hear something to clarify this.
...my god, I wish I had a guide like this for when I was learning BM or Seren. I will wait for you to get there with baited breath. also vhilla would be great, that fight is one that I know but I don't feel like I ever know, you feel me???
I have aproblem with White eyes. I walk and i die, i jump and i die, so what am i doing wrong? I jump or walk when tyhe legs is up and soemtimes when going down and still die.
I did hwill solo for the first time last week (down to last life) but had NO IDEA wtf was happening in the last phase. Thankfully i had enough lives to yolo but I was being one shot half the time. Other than skill locking, do the webs actually hurt you? I def wasn’t dodging will so maybe i was dying to him.
If you run in a party, make sure to hit the eye in phase 1 test in order to summon the meteors, do this even after the gold bubble spawns, trust me, your party will appreciate you especially since you're carrying at 20k stat!
Sorry but p2 is the easiest of the three phases, p1 being the hardest and p3 being in the middle. Dodging all that shit in p1 is awful and if you fail tests in p1 you're fked for p2 and 3.

Thanks for the tip. I tried your way and managed to clear
In phase 2 during no-crack test phases, you can hug the left wall to automatically dodge all the spider legs!
just did my first ever normal will solo .. thank you for this info
this is so much better than going back and forth for the other pattern! thank you!

Best tutorials, best content, best production value

Yessss the series is back 🎉🎉
You’re GOATED
Thank you so much for the diagram for exactly where to stand on the second test! I couldn't pass it consistently, but I used the diagram and just cleared hard will for the first time!
for p2, you can stand all the way to the left to avoid the legs which makes the test free

This guide couldn't have come at a better time.
I know all of the bosses mechanics, but I'm still having so much fun watching your's!
They are so well made and edited
Keep it up!
Sent this to a friend of mine. The way you explain and present the guide made him better at surviving will when I’m carrying him. Ty sir!
Loved the semi twist there at the end lol
Glad I could be of service and make your carries easier!

They will be coming!
@@RathGMS can’t wait 🔥
Would you ever consider doing a gear vid for your DW? I’m 265 and so weak in comparison 😢
I've been toying with the idea of a progression video since I'm 100% pure solo and that would be a decent place to fit that in.
Really love your clear and concise guides! Are you planning to revamp all of your other guides? Lucid specifically?
SO MUCH MUSCLE MEMORY !
