Hey brother. I babied it to death after seeing your video a couple of years ago but inevitably, my Super Sea Wolf 68 developed the exact issue yours did. What was the outcome if you don't mind me asking?
Sure thing. My watchmaker discovered that one of the gears to advance the hand set was installed upside-down! There is a flat side and a beveled side and STP had it reversed. It was a simple and inexpensive repair but STP should have caught it in QC. That is where I would start looking. Love the T-shirt, brother!
@@SuburbanPathfinder Motorhead! 🤘😎 Thank you so much for the reply. I know which gear you mean as well. ETAs and Sellitas have the same part. I have the 50th Anniversary Edition of the 68. Beautiful watch. Fingers crossed it's te same issue. Symptoms are identical.
Wow, so you had to turn down the pins/screws on a lathe? Talk about some old school Russian engineering. "Use bigger hammer!" Soooo glad I never bought that Ural... Cool project, though!

Can you show us the final product? how they ended up? 🎉
Yes. Certainly. I’ve only finished the forester, so far, but I’ll make a video soon.
Thanks for your interest!

LOL, yes. But to be fair, the screws are American and 1/4” diameter. The holes in the Russian blade are, no doubt, some weird metric size.
I probably could have explained that a little better. I really wanted to get that video made yesterday but my oratory skills weren’t up to snuff.
@@SuburbanPathfinder LOL - or it may be my fault for watching the video over my morning coffee :)
