    I play Kazuya as my main and he is unbelievably slow compared to this. I don't know if the issue is with net code or what, but his Kaz is legit fast. Like super fast. Every move comes out almost one after the other, everything feels so smooth. It's so impressive. This is what a true Kaz looks like.

    Kazuya looks pretty strong now, after the buffs.
    Crazy damage output for sure.
    But Knee doesn’t seem to use Flash Punch that often.
    Any reason for that?

    • @dylaroo24
      @dylaroo24 Месяц назад

      Yeah, CD1+2 is crazy strong, made his already god tier vortex even stronger. Before you could play defensively against Kazuya and win big damage if you guessed his 50/50 correctly, but now with CD1+2 the insane reach, speed, +5 on block and big chip damage (basically Jin’s pre-patch demon paw) he forces the opponent to go the on the offensive if they want to have a hope of surviving the fight. He might honestly be the strongest character in the game right now unironically. His offensive pressure and damage are pretty much perfect and he can burry you in plus frames. The only thing he was missing was poking, and now he has that with CD1+2 which works even on block and is really spammable being +5. I mean the Hwoarang fight shows exactly how powerful and spammable it is, he used it like 8 times in a row out rushdowning a Hwoarang while chipping away half his Hp. Kinda crazy if you ask me, I know it’s Knee, but the core of the move just seems like Jin demon paw all over again, if not even better.

      @@dylaroo24 lol. Kazuya is pretty much the same. He got fixes a few buffs and a few nerfs.
      Cd1+2 not fast enough for a poke fr. It falls in line with the rest of his kit(f4, ss1+2, eletric). Its still very linear and easily sidesteppable. Knee just on another level make any character look broken.
      Kazuya is like b tier now no longer trash tier.
      Now if he had f4 on crouch opponent into eletric then hed be s tier

    • @GodsMakar
      @GodsMakar Месяц назад

      @@dylaroo24only the best kazuyas can use that in higher ranks everybody reacts to anything above 21 frames and it's easily steppable which cause is already weak to. People getting buried in plus frames only happens in lower ranks where people don't know the match up that well or know the match up but can't execute it well.

    • @dylaroo24
      @dylaroo24 Месяц назад

      @@GodsMakar “people getting buried in plus frames only happens in lower ranks” are we watching lower ranks right now? Cause I’m seeing everyone from Supreme to Garyu getting caught by this. And sure it’s easily stepable if they are spamming it constantly with zero mix up ups to cover for sidesteps, but 1. that’s truely something you’d only see in lower ranks unless the Kazuya is just trolling cause they have a huge lead or just don’t care about the fight, and 2. The OVERWHELMING majority of players aren’t good enough at sidestepping to reliably counter this move, even in higher ranks. Sure if you go into lab and try to sidestep moves in a vacuum, sure it can be called easy, but it’s completely different in an actual match where people are trying to cover for that. Did Kazuya really need to make his vortex even more complicated and harder to beat? Pretty sure that’s always been his S Tier skill, not sure why that needed a buff. Now Kazuya doesn’t really have much of a weakness besides sidestepping which is a weakness of most characters since it’s a 3D fighter, kinda the point.
      Now Kazuya is looking like Jin, able to do pretty much everything except he also specialises and is the best in field for key areas. He has the best high launcher in the game, he has arguably the best 50/50 in the game, he has good frame traps and offensive pressure, good counter hit tools, some of the best lows in the game, one of the best damage outputs in the game, and now he even has good poking due to his insane amount of chip damage tools. Just seems like Kazuya has stopped being a specialised character with a few set game plans and is now becoming like Jin being able to cover most if not all bases to some degree while still being hyper specialised and top level in a bunch of other areas which can’t be said for most all rounder characters like Jin.
      I’m honestly fine with Kazuya being really powerful, I would honestly like to see him be one of the best in the game (I’d argue that’s right now actually) one of the hardest characters to play should be one of the best characters in the game. My problem is making Kazuya an all rounder that has a bit of everything, while still being the best in the game in quite a few areas, something that other all rounders don’t have. Personally I don’t like seeing Kazuya being able to chip you down to half HP simply by using CD1+2 mixed with a few sidestep covering moves. Whether you play defence or offence, you are playing into Kazuya’s hand now. Used to be that a good solid defence would give you the edge against Kazuya, now it’s exactly what he needs to get a huge advantage. It changes the entire characters playstyle into a near Jack of all trades, but still master of some. That’s how it looks playing against him anyway.
      Maybe I’m wrong, maybe there are more weaknesses to Kazuya that I just don’t know about. From where I’m sitting though, people saying “it only works in lower ranks” as an argument, the “lower ranks” seems to include the overwhelming majority of players, and if it works that well against that much of the player base, then isn’t that the point of calling something overpowered? Kazuya has always been a huge threat, I’m happy he got buffs and his combos are much nicer and more consistent, but CD1+2 seems too much to me, I don’t think he needed this tool. If it wasn’t that good and so easily sidesteppable I feel like I would be seeing less high rank people be slaughtered by it.
      I dunno, you are welcome to disagree, but personally I think it’s too much and Kazuya is starting to lose his identity as a specialised character.
      Also, to anyone who wants to say “But it’s knee, of course it looks broken” I’m not just going off this video, I’ve seen plenty of Kazuya clips post patch from Garyu to Tekken god supreme getting destroyed by this move. Just cause I’m comment on this video doesn’t mean it’s the only example I’m going off. The move does 9 chip damage on block and it is still +5 on block? I don’t care how sidesteppable it is, it’s 9 damage on block while being +5 with insane reach due to being a crouch dash input(can land from range 3!), is amazing for combo fillers, bounding, oki etc. etc. in the example I mentioned from this video of knee, using it 8 times like Knee did would get 72 damage from chip alone, that’s half your bar gone, and that Hwoarang was not low rank. Again, I get it’s knee, but spamming CD1+2 a bunch is not a technical skill that only knee can do, most Kazuya players could recreate that interaction yet it seems to cover even higher ranked players.
      For reference devil punch is now just as linear/steppable except it only does 6 damage on block while being -9, can’t really be used for combo fillers, doesn’t bound, pretty average to below average oki. So how am I supposed to look at CD1+2 other than an incredibly overpowered version of devil fist? I don’t know how you can look at these stats and not say it’s at least a bit overpowered. I understand wanting your favourite and hardest to play character to be strong, but if he can wipe the floor with a huge chunk of the player base with CD1+2 pressure, that’s a problem in my eyes. He could already be a huge threat to most ranks with just his vortex alone, now it’s even stronger and covers good blockers.
      But again it’s fine if others wanna disagree, at the end of the day I just enjoy the conversation and using this as a way to learn characters and their stats in comparison to others. Can’t tell you how much I learnt about frame data and counters of certain moves simply by arguing about them online. So even if I’m wrong, I see it as a plus at the end of the day.

    I don't think Kazuya needs this patch to be great. Kazuya was pretty fine since the first release (although got his df3+4 1+2 nerfed early on, it's OKay (because a true Kazuya player should never count on moves like this) ). And this patch actually did not give anything substantially good to Kazuya. The buffs are trivial, while it's the nerf on ff2 (shrinking the distance to the opponent when guarded) that affects more.
