We took delivery of a 2017 Abarth 595 Competizione in Yellow with a manual gearbox on Saturday, i can't get over how good it is! The interior, Loudest sound ever! Fast, Looks insane and much more!
I've had my Abarth since Valentine's Day 2014, now has almost 42K on it. I've had a few issues but too many mechanical ones but just this past weekend I had the drivers side rear wheel bearing replaced, under warranty and the tech found a bad upper rad hose clamp, replaced it as well. Two months ago I broke the shifter cable and it was replaced under warranty but while it was there I had the steering column cover, drivers side window regulator and passenger side front seat recliner mechanism replaced, all under warranty. Now when I first got the car, as a demo, the headliner was coming apart at the A pillar, entire thing was replaced and side skirt was also repaired as it started to come undone (common issue) So you heard about all the issues so you'd think I'm unhappy with the car right....WRONG! My car has all the popular mods sans a turbo and injectors (and hi-flow downpipe) and these things respond VERY well to mods ======= Go test drive one and see if it doesn't put a huge smile on your face. Btw I've gotten 41 mpg on the freeway once but normally I get 37-38 mph with the cruize on, no sweat!
I have a black 2015 Abarth. I highly recommend going from stock to these mods. Go pedal , ECU, pulley, throttle body, intercooler. This will make a significant amount of difference on performance.
Omg i love this car so much, idk if its a great start for a first car but i also want to have it as a first car to learn to drive stick (im from the U.S. since they hardly have manual here tbh). Does anyone have any tips/advice that i should know about it such as maintenance, ride quality, and/or about having it as a first car to drive as a manual?
abel alvarez Well. Fiats are known for there unreliability It's a super fun little car and I really can't hate it just because of the unreliability but for a first car? Are you a college student? Are you financially stable enough to afford the uber rides for when it (unfortunately, inevitably) breaks down? If you're fine with those things then ya, go for it. It's got a short clutch though (I personally hate short, or what I call baby clutches) so there's that too. I personally am a fan of long travel on my clutches. But if you're not used to something like I am, and those other previously mentioned things don't bother you then go for it man!
I get that you have to have a strong opinion for your videos but I wouldn’t say the fiat is the closest you can get to a steet legal go kart. The fiesta st and early 2002-2013 minis give you the same experience. Obviously, you’re here to talk abarth because you were able to get the car for the day. I’d just be curious if you go the option to showcase a mini that you would end up saying the same thing lol
Bro, the new 500 Fiat generation is available in Europe since 2 years... FIAT are too lazy to bring it back to the US... New body, new models like the Competizione.
With the incentives dgdg and fiat were offering as I live in San Jose almost made me buy one but just wasn't practical for my uses. I couldn't find a cpo either. But a Ford Fiesta St is $20k so I just went with a 16 Chevy Cruze because I put alot of Miles about 25k a year and it was $16k for the lt version.
Nice review! I actually recently reviewed a Fiat 500c Abarth! I really enjoyed reviewing that fun little car! I called the 500c Abarth in my review, "The Epitome of Budget Performance!". I was also blown away by the exhaust note of the Abarth, and how spacious it actually was. Feel free to check out my full review of the 500c Abarth, Unboxing Cars! I would love to here your comments! Keep up the great work! -DriveAndBeDriven "The Quest To Record The Best!"
Yep... It sure is a neat little car! Offering more than enough power. Especially, when considering it's power to weight ratio! ;-) -DriveAndBeDriven "The Quest To Record The Best!"
YEE BOI safety man safety. It's got a ton of airbags and a solid frame. It would be a death trap otherwise .... however I'm still trying to figure out how they got the new mx5 so damn light in this day and age.
Honestly...I don't think this is a street legal go kart...go get a used Lotus Elise ...drive this for a year depreciates... Drive the Elise...it won't and you gain flexibility getting in and out😂😋

I love my 2015 500 turbo. So much fun.

Klasse Act all that woe for such low mileage? I'll stick with my Toyota Yaris, thanks!
@@auxmike getting ready to swap my '19 yaris for an abarth! To each their own!
5-speed manual. Not 6 speed.
as soon they say 157hp, you know it's an automatic. only the manual is 160hp. hah.
Only thing is the manual has been reported to have worse ratios. Wish their manual was better.
@@akrokdesign The Auto has more torque.

you forgot intake and GFB. ;-)
can you do a 500x, ive been thinking about getting one. wanna know your opinion on it.
If you haven't seen i think Redline Reviews did that car. Sofyan is pretty good reviewer.
I'm 5'11 and I want this car. Is that weird
Why are automatic transmissions so popular in the US?
Luke Harman ...lazy and lame kids named Caiden who have been told their special from day one, don't get me started on everything else.

Nice review. This is how a car review should be done! Subscribed.
Can any one answer this question, does it have a timing belt in rubber or metal?
Thanks
I think that Abarth is broken.... it's missing a pedal.
Michael Turner-Smith ah yes the transmission brake like in the model t ;)
Maybe drive it wouldn't have been a bad idea. Anyway i own one and it's so much fun to drive.
500 Abarth in the USA now starts at $19,500. Hard to purchase another daily driver for me with such a low price.
6 speed manual? is that new because they were 5 speed manuals.
my67falcon manual is still a 5 speed
elai314
ok, was curious when the video said a 6 speed manual or 6 speed auto.
Where's the box?
they don't have 6 speed 5 only
Needs a manual..
DimachkaS it comes standard with a manual...
Can you review a the Porsche 991.2 gts when it comes out. I am tempted to get it
get a GT4.
isn't the base price is $20k not $22k?
6 speed offered manual? Wtf are you talking about
There is no 6 speed manual just automatic 6 speed and a 5 speed manual.
I heard that the next 500 is going to be a 4 door and I really hope so!

Thank you for the information
no muffler, iron block, lower control arms made from ductile iron
thiers no 6 speed manual thiers only 5 speed manual transmission
delete the rear seats is a good appoarch.

this is not 2017 fiat i think
$28k and NO leather?!
auxmike leather costs an extra twelve hundred
The US. (made in Mexico) 2017 version Abarth has almost no changes!!! Our European has a total Facelift and way cooler !!!
Fiat USA is losing money like mad, so they are doing the least amount of work possible. In fact, they deleted the fun turbo model (with better seats).
@3:37 You butchered Carlo's family name, you yank :D
Red Phoenix ....I think it's Karl Abarth...mate

I loveeeeeee this toy will best car ever
this is a 2016 model anyway..
Beautiful footage, great shots.... But not a decibel from the glorious exhaust, and just 14 minutes of prebuscense pointing to the obvious... ugh
just as much horsepower as a chevrolet cruze only the abarth has awesome exhaust porn to it.
MDJ Computing i raced a turbo Chevy sonic and its fast as hell
Did you really get an automatic???? Why in the name of all that's holy did you make that atrocious decision????
More torque, it's faster, and better mpg.
Thick American as normal don't know the car ITS CALLED ABARTH 500 NOT FIAT 500 ABARTH, THE NAME ABARTH IS A COMPANY IN ITS SELF

Alfa Romeo 4C is the real go kart not this top heavy hatch
JonoYaDiGG fiat 500 201tournisomo
And over 2x the price. I got a 2015 Abarth for $14k
I thought it had a beats subwoofer in the back....
You can’t do reviews if you can’t correctly identify its options.
A Go Kart that weighs 2500 lbs......
YEE BOI go drive one.
So it's a good thing it weighs that light?
MrHPJunkie It's not light at all for how small the car is
YEE BOI safety man safety.
It's got a ton of airbags and a solid frame. It would be a death trap otherwise .... however I'm still trying to figure out how they got the new mx5 so damn light in this day and age.
Honda civic coupe is 2,700~
I believe the smart Fortwo is less expensive and much more of a gokart than the cheaply made Fiat 500.
They are now only sold in electric versions. Plus, they always had an automatic in America when they were gas.
At a base price of 22k you might as well get a v6 Ford Mustang and buy American, 500 Abarth should be 17k or less
Honestly...I don't think this is a street legal go kart...go get a used Lotus Elise
...drive this for a year depreciates...
Drive the Elise...it won't and you gain flexibility getting in and out😂😋
@Jason McAllister you aren't looking then...5 for sale under 28k with under 40k miles
Actually the 500 Abarth automatic is faster and gas mileage is the same. Look at the specs on Caranddriver.com
ew automatic I’m out
