@ im Malaysian 😂 and now live in NY. I have been to bkk many times cos its not too far from Malaysia only 2hr flight. Bkk its a beautiful city and you are right the people are so friendly👍 I love bkk Chinatown. Really beautiful and the vibe is totally different there. The best time to go is evening ard 6pm cos the street lighting and signage boards light are on look great. Also, Khao San road is well known for backpacker heaven. So much of backpacker hostels around there and really crowded at night especially on fri & sat. Bkk the best transportation to travel in the city definitely their BTS & MRT cos too convenience. You do not want to tKe the cab cos you may stuck in the traffic fr an hr even juz a short distance. But if you insist prefer to take cab you may use GRAB something like UBER. Cos GRAB fares very reasonable but again sometimes on the peak hour u may need to wait for 10-15min and bad traffic. You may want to experience their Tuk Tuk 🛺 but always negotiate with them cos they always offer a higher fares. Also must be careful their local driver Tuk Tuk cos some of them have biz with some store owner and they like to bring you to jewelry store, temple, fashion store. You can juz politely refuse them. If you are into the ping pong show pls becareful too cos they are many scammers people who working there. Always reconfirm the entry fee and the drink before you go in there. Otherwise, you might get scam for a higher price when you ask for bill. But i wouldn’t recommend to go. The most popular money exchange is ( SuperRich) the best rates. Available many branches in the city. Enjoy ur trip and stay safe!
