Larry and Muggsy: an OTR trucker and his Macaw

I was barreling up 287 today and came up on a truck I haven’t seen in a few years, I hollered at Larry and he said he would be fueling in Amarillo. I buzzed on up here and grabbed a haircut and got done just in time to catch him in the fuel pumps.
Larry Leckrone is an OTR truck driver that travels all over North America. Him and his 37 year old Macaw, Muggsy, cross countless miles in his 1962 Kenworth C523.

One of the most memorable moments I’ve had working on big rigs is meeting these two! I have a couple pictures of muggsy sitting in the passenger window sill while me and Larry were chatting!
