I am deciding between this version and the Style version. I have driven the Style version with the ergoComfort seats and they were super comfortable. Could you tell me how the R-Line sport seats compare? Are they good for long distances?
@@romaneichhorn7362 Hey. I still have another 2 weeks or so until my car is delivered but I will let you know once I go for a drive! From experience in recaros and other similar seats I have never had any problems in long distances. If anything, I find them more comfortable.
@@romaneichhorn7362 r line is style version with some sport equipment like driver profile, etc... She is so beautiful, so confortably, so sportly in r line mode

Okay I've had my new R-line since Friday (3 days) and I can tell you this car is f@&kin awesome 👏👏👏❤️. Check my profile picture. At first glance you actually think this is an R, in fact the badges just say R.... wait to have that conversation. You get soooo much more than my previous R-line, but it looks and feels soo much better to drive. Yes it does take a while to set up the infotainment system, but it took a while on the MK7. The lack of knobs/buttons is NOT an issue unless you are a dinosaur 🦕. Going through Micky D's Drive Thru last night...kid goes Wow is that the new Golf... Awesome!!! Enjoy peeps.😁
On the contrary, I have a new Golf 8 now, I had Golf 7 Earlier. Golf 8 works much better, easier to use etc. Golf 8 is many steps forward, but stay in Golf 7, it´s a good car too :-)
@@mathias61 "works much better, easier to use"? How you start your seat heating? You wanna tell me that this is convenient and "easy"? :D I´ve driven the Golf 8 too. And its big stap backwards. Every reviewer says the operability is really bad.
@@aldeen1982 you activate the seat heating with double tapping on the clima control. Its not that bad, get used to it and it is better imo, the Look depends on the taste, like always :)
Yeah same. Comming from the 7.5 R line I can say the new Golf is sportier to drive and stiffer set up but still compliant. I can't seee anything else driving better in that class.

Picking up my White version of this Friday this week... apparently the first Golf 8 R-Line in the UK. Plus Sunroof and upgraded Alloys 😁

This Golf 8 R-Line has options that don't come as standard on the UK versions... ie, the wheels & DCC.
What alloys?
Personally I don't like the Alloys in this video. I much prefer and went for the 18" Bergamo
Interior is step backwards in comparison to the Golf 7 in usability, design and overall space availability! why?

It's definitely NOT a step backwards. Test drive like for like and you'll see.

Alloys are disgusting. The old ones on the 7.5 R line are much nicer. So are the basic 17" ones. The color works though.
Too big exhaust pipes (fake) for just 150hp
