- On the one hand, it would be nice to have a few more cats across each game, but on the other hand, dogs appear pretty often and it's probably caused more damage to their reputation than good.

My cat, Penelope, passed away recently after about 10 years together. Every night she'd sleep by my side, but now she's gone alone to her final resting place.

Think about it.
Radahn is the madman who decided to learn Gravity sorcery for the sole purpose of being able to ride his beloved horse as he himself grew to a giant's size.
With that in mind is there anyone who doesn't believe that, Radahn, the absolute chad animal lover, upon getting a kitten wouldn't think:
"Mmmm... The biggest danger to cats is their own folly, often climbing to heights they cannot safely descend.
I have decided Lacrima.
I shall cast a spell on thee, little kitten, such that you may climb whatever you like without any fall causing you harm."
I refuse to believe this was not planned to be canon at some point.

There's also a tall cliff-face as a part of Radahn's arena, I suppose it would have been possible that Lacrima could have jumped down from the cliffs to fight you at some point somehow
Although I doubt this got very far in development if at all considering there's no uncovered assets for Lacrima or anything to this extent I assume

Radahn liking cats is the least surprising obscure lore.
First Lacrima and then Leonard...he loves his animal pals. He also learned gravity magic so he could presumably get Lacrima down from the tallest towers in the academy when she got stuck...
I suddenly have the hilarious mental image of this gigantic, building sized demigod armed to the teeth huddled over a practically microscopic domestic cat and giving the scritches it demands with a gigantic finger.

My cat Peppers passed away as well about 2 months ago. She was 19 years old. Had Her since i was 7.

To me it's somewhat poetic how Radahn, a boss with the mental state of a beast by the time we play the game, was so fond of animals.

It's also kind of interesting how it indicates that he's sort of a reverse Godfrey, in spite of how he presents himself. Godfrey is a bloodthirsty barbarian pretending to be a noble king, and Radahn was a gentle and thoughtful man pretending to be a brutal warlord.

@@BHRA78while I do feel the same, I think that, through Jerren, we get enough of a look at the old Radahn. They were incredibly close (arguably beyond "friendship" if yk what I mean 😉😉) and even promised to avenge the other if one fell in battle.

Sweet Shalquor is my favourite Souls NPC. Such a spicy cat, fluffy, helpful but a bit of a troll. I also love how the Silvercat ring in Elden Ring is found on a corpse at the bottom of a ravine. Evidently he didn't read the 'reduces falling damage but not death' part clearly enough.

They should totally bring back the goofy cat ring/equivalent icons from Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 2, that kind of scuffed charm that displayed heart and the personality of the devs showing in minor easter-egg like details is what made the Soulsborne franchise one of my favorites.
I feel this one. Lost mine of the same age as well, it took a while to not get emotional when I didn’t hear her happy greeting meows whenever I got home.
Now that I’ve healed enough, I’ve begun looking into getting another, and this video definitely helped give me some inspiration for Souls themed names.
And a message to everyone: Don’t ever feel silly or guilty for feeling extreme grief over pet loss. There is scientific evidence that it can be just as heavy and impactful as the death of a human. Take care of yourself and don’t feel ashamed or guilty.

I'm here as a previous cat owner, and let me say they're some of the dearest creatures on this world. Playful, Chaotic & chill as they please, it's not their independence that makes them special, although they are at their best when they have that in spades. No, it is in the bond they build with you. The love shared which for them is something they choose to do with only the people who appreciate them. Treasure these little ones, and even those of you able to, treasure the big ones too. They'll appreciate it.

I'm so sorry for your loss Zullie. I recently found your videos, and once I heard the Twilight Princess music I knew this was a channel I should subscribe to. I used to play TP on the GameCube back in my teenage years, and my cat Ringo would crawl up and just lay on my back or next to me while I did. Miss him like a little brother every day, and know it's like losing a family member. My heart goes out to you and hope you know they are in a better place, or their next life! ❤

Our cat I grew up with was also named Penelope, such a good heart she had.
She loved to snuggle under our blankets and cuddle up to us, pushing her back against our side and resting her head on our arm or shoulder.
Only when we were sick she would sleep directly on our chests to keep us warm despite it not being her favorite place as the chest obviously moves a lot.

Animals live a humble life. You loved your cat and still love them. So few animals will be loved in their lifetime. Im sure your cat appreciated everything you did and loved you too. My cat just turned 16 and we joke that he will live forever. But i can see him slowing down these years and i know the end is coming for him one day sooner than later. Not sure what my life looks like without him, hes older than i was when i first got him.
