I moved out of my family's house after a few months after getting my first work. That freedom is something I yearned for for a long time. Sure you can save that money if you're living with your parents, but to me, I've been "sheltered" all my life and I wanted to experience things without someone hovering behind me. I'm pretty sure the situation is slightly different in Singapore coz the cost of living is high, that's why people are more inclined to stay with their parents. Plus it also depends on your salary of course.
This is why I will never rent, you compare mortgage and rental. At the end of paying rent, you better off saving up for an apartment/condo for yourself.
@@SamLiewXiaoSam at least you pay a mortgage the house is yours. Rental is the dumbest thing, you're paying someone else's mortgage. And especially in Singapore when your CPF is getting 2% while a 95 Year HDB or a condo at the bare minimum holds up to inflation.
Hmm.. Syfe trade wasn’t even around when you were a student

Another factor is that Singapore is so small. Living space are very limited and it’s difficult to buy a house for young, single people.

BTO or resale flat tips / process / experience from them please !
A lot of useful information in this sponsored video but the key (indirect) takeaway is that Julian is making at least SGD8.5K per month at TSL?
Says a lot about how much money TSL makes, to be able to afford to pay them that much.
maybe combined with his wife?
?? He said 20%

In the end, you'll still need to move out when you're married and have family what
