Remember these players are coached by professional coaches. While everybody arguing back and forth about players, umpires etc.. the coaches are getting a free pass. The faulted tosses travel more distance sideways than they travel vertically. This is unacceptable and coaches see this and stay quiet? Or promoting this behaviour? Time to shine the spotlight on these coaches
All starts were aligned for Wetzel in this match. But also, in this match Wetzel was much more stronger mentally than Lebrun. In fact Lebrun could finish the match 3:0. Judges took only two points from him. First time it was 50/50, but the second time was not fair for sure. At 10:35, when the judges took the point from Lebrun for the first time, Alexis completely lost control over himself and instead of keep playing and finishing a match with 3:0, he got crazy and lost 6 points in a row(from 4:4 to 10:4). It showed that he has serious mental problems and disrespect towards the opponent. At 13:42 I think judges made clear mistake, but Lebrun handled the situation and was keep playing good. He was leading in that set 8:5, but then miracle happened and Wetzel won 6 points in a row playing very good and with a few lucky shots of course. Anyway it was fair 6 points. Wetzel was very good mentally and very consistent . And in the last set Lebrum simply got very scared of losing , when Wetzel remained very calm! In the last set Wetzel was stronger mentally than Lebrum! I think the crucial moment was at 4:3 in the set 3, when Lebrum lost control out of nothing and gifted 6 next points to his opponent. But it’s a very good lesson for Frenchman and for coach to see what can be improved in order to become much better player in a future.
It's an ugly win for Wetzel due to the ref... a real shame, it almost feels undeserved even though he played well. That being said, the rules need to change to become as objective as possible. This is a problem with the game of table tennis in general. But come on ref, don't be like that
Yeah, umpires did a mistake, but there were so many other factors in this match. In the end this is a game and everyone can win. Even Ma Long had a bad days from time to time.
Scandaleux !!
Wetzel was just as guilty of service violations as Lebrun, if not more so. He hid the ball behind his head numerous times. The rules need to change, or more clarity about how to interpret them needs to happen.
Absolute Frechheit!!!!
I didn't catch during watching. But you are write! Watching at speed 0.25 when Wetzel at far side shows his illegal servers. I saw four such serves and in every of them ball is hidden by Wetzel's rigth hand. Ball is hidden from camera and Felix Lebrun especially.
Both players are throwing towards their body, ball starts at mid table and flies to their right or left side. So both use illegal serves again and again. That the umpire only faults Lebruns service make no sense.
Dont forget hand in front of the ball, removed at last moment(Wetzel) , but enough to hide a serve...all pro players that do this, and they know they do this on purpouse, well very unsportsman behaviour.
ahahah the referee is so funny i hope he will be ban this is really disgusting he dont even hide himself like , like the last europeen championship referee from home make people from home win
amazing game from both. Wetzel well deserved the win. Alexis is undisputable still top of the notch.
Wrong title for the video.
It’s not « who is this kid » but « who is this umpire »
5th game till 6 is stupid

I enjoyed the drumming
Sarcasm?
@@jmpeax3596 no I actually enjoyed the drumming
@@Timbrrrdoodle Really? I admire you, no really! It was reason enough for me to stop watching. Can't bear those distracting noises.
I didn't.
Who won????
I checked: Wetzel. It apparently was one of these dumb matches where you win by 6-4 in 5th game. Cannot understand the reason for that.
vidéo incompléte...non finie....la Fin ?

If i was the umpire, i would call out many more of his services. He just doesn't want to learn from his mistakes.
How was that a fowl by Alexis? I can't understand that. Plus why only 6-4 in the last game?
in the champions league the 5th set finish at 5 points. in this case 2 points difference -> 6:4
There are many sports these days that are ruined by officious umpiring...

Honte à l'arbitre !

This "kid" has illegal serve: he hide the ball with his right hand!
Wetzel serve illegal half of the time. Congrats though.

6-4...?!!!!?? Is ETTU a joke?
what is the story with drum roll every point? stupid idea., bloody annoying, I had to turn the volume off to enjoy the match

Pourquoi il finissent à 6-4 ?
I don't know. I guess someone decided that it's always going to be more exciting for the crowd. Something like that.
The new rule in the Champions League in the decider
Low level umpire. 😕
Ce match est une fumisterie 👎
Quelle honte..
