Tanjiro chopping off her head wit the *Blessed Rain after the Drought* is my fav scene from this anime. Its so visually pleasing nd emotionally impactful imo.
It really is! I think it really shows more of tanjiros character, how he can be so angry but then become level headed and merciful even towards a hateful demon.

I love the way this show makes you so quickly despise demons, especially the ones that are being fought, then quickly 180's and makes you feel bad for some of them.
Ya Demon Slayer is great at showing emotions to get you to feel what is going on

Something that's very easy to forget that the anime makes a point to remind you about: All of the demons were once human with their own past but they were turned into a Demon JUST LIKE NEZUKO.
Yeah and most of them can barely remember their lives as humans and when the start to remember their human lives they get emotional and immediately start to repent. Most of the demons tanjiro kills usually regain their memories and regret what they did and just lets tanjiro behead them.
Don't feel bad for feeling bad for demons. Even Tanjiro feels bad for them, because he understands from experience that people change when they get turned into demons. Nezuko tried to kill him, and if it wasn't for him jogging her memory, she'd have been just like any of the demons Tanjiro fought. They all forget their past (or at least most of it, I believe) and it's only when they're dying that they get the clarity to remember their humanity. It's not really supposed to be a clear cut demons are bad/demons should be shown kindness, that's why we follow Tanjiro, because he sees both stances. The idea of this is brought up multiple times.

The scene when Tanjiro killed the mom and he switched to Blessed rain, was one of my fav scenes of all time, it shows how Tanjiro is a kind and merciful person. 💙
ps : notice how Inosuke butcher Tanjiro's name every time its so funny haha

In 1x10 Lady Tamayo said you lose your humanity once you become a demon; all you'll know is pain and grief. as ironic as it is, death seems their only reprieve and allows some demons to catch a fleeting glimpse of their previous humanity and in that moment find peace 😢😞 I feel you Morgan, I feel you. Tezumi demon in the house just wanted someone to recognize his music and writing, recognition from those around him may have changed the course of his actions, though he was still seemingly a demon at the time. Sam's right tho, spider queen did snap those kid's necks.
Everything about this episode is underrated. The title, the way Tanjiro kills the demon, the helpless Demon Slayer who was forced to consciously kill her friends with her own 2 hands, the sheer quantity of things that happen, and the reveal at the end. Another hit from the best arc of S1. But seriously, I've never seen anybody comment on the title - it is a spoiler tbf, but such a clever one. The spoiler (for ep 19) is below...
It's referring to Rui letting the other members of his family go first, taking on their roles as the parents, or older siblings, and protecting him, before he's eventually forced to take action.
FYI, beside the story of slaying demons, this anime also focusing on how every character is simping for tanjiro :v

This is Who tanjiro is. He is a kind person at heart who remembers that each demon was human at some point. I love the contrast of showing some demons were forced to become just that with no choice.
I'm very late to the party but y'all have to remember that almost all the demons in this show were turned into demons against their will and most of them can barely remember their lives as humans and when they gain their memories back they immediately regret whatever they did and try to repent which is what the two good demons in episode 8 did after they regained their memories from when they were human and decided to repent for what they did when they had lost their memories.

The last scene where Tanjiro cut the demon's head off is my favorite out of the whole anime. It's absolutely beautiful!
Once a person becomes a demon they lose their humanity and most of their memories just fade, they quite literally become an almost completely new being in both their appearance and personality. Once they die, at least by tanjiro's hand, they seem to recall a small amount of what they lost which gives them the ability to regret their actions and to feel guilt.

3:45 I would have cut the threads, then I'd tease Inosuke so he can help (He most likely won't help if not 👀) So we can carry all the people to safety (Most likely to the bottom of the mountain) (even if it takes a while), So the 'Mother' Spider Demon, Can't Make their heads turn 360, Then, boom saved 100's of Demon Slayers.
the show does a great job of being a horror flick, and also a drama and comedy. You are disgusted by the demons and what htey do, but then you see their backstory and you have empathy for them.
14:40 the Twelve Kizuki(Twelve Demon Moons) all serve directly under Muzan, so Muzan is not a part of the Twelve.
They gonna really love the next episode.

This show loves to toy with my emotions. The demons are typically bad, and you want to seem them defeated, but Tanjiro's compassion just makes me end up almost sympathizing, like AGH, I want to cheer for them being defeated, not sad! But it's what makes this show endearing since it doesn't play things out black and white.
