Rey and Kylo honestly have a better dynamic here than they do in the actual sequel trilogy, likely because they don't play it up as a romance but more as this bizarre, hilarious friendship where one friend really wants to hang out while the other finds him really annoying.
Probably because this game have no intervention from some smug executives

What you really mean is that you like them more here than in TROS, the only film that portrays their relationship as a romance

this only confirms my theory that the Star Wars video games use the sequels way better than the actual sequels.
Seriously the fact EA's Battlefront 2 manages to make the Resistance and Rebel Alliance feel very different from each other is my most favorite thing about that game
Now I'm curious. Having never played EA Battlefront 2, how different from the movies is the Resistance in the game?
@@O-P-96 Not different at all, no idea what OP is talking about. Unless he means how the Resistance is a worse version of the Rebellion lol
@@O-P-96 Resistance feels way more "Militarized" and many of the soldiers feel truly like people whos main motivation for being there in the moment is following Leia compared to the Alliance which has been aroudn for awhile and is comprised of multiple differnt groups whos main common goal is freedom from the Empire
The resistance in battlefront 2 also feels like its main cohesion is a pseudo cult of personality around Leia and the other former Rebel Leaders where as the Alliance's main source of cohesion is people who have been basically enslaved by the empire for decades and want their freedom
Compare this to the Resistance in the movie which is literally just the Rebel Alliance but "We swear its differnt!"
@@LordVader1094 For the record my main source here is the voice lines of the generic troops in a EA Battlefront 2 match, I fully admit it is nothing like this in the movies and that fact is extremely disappointing

VIDEO IDEA: out of the republic, the empire and the rebel alliance and the CIS, if no ships were destroyed during their times and wars how many ships would each faction have altogether? possibly after you could try to calculate in terms which faction would win a massive battle if all 4 went against each other. personally i think this would be a great video idea

I still haven't played the game, but I don't think I've ever wanted to play one so much.
To those saying Lego made the Sequels better, I just want to point out the Sequels aren't bad because of the characters, the plot points or even necessarily the dialogue, they're not good because they never convince the audience to suspend their disbelief. When you watch the OT, the movies aren't saying "hay you're watching the OT" the movie is telling the story of Luke, Leia, R2 et al. The Prequels tell the story of Anakin et all while also saying "hey this is a prequel to this other thing you like". The Sequels start out by shouting "Hey! We're making the Sequel to Star Wars! Star Wars! Can you believe it?" and never stop referencing the fact they're in Star Wars Sequels. The story of Finn and Rey don't matter to making the Sequels to star wars, and let me be clear, I liked the characters of Finn and Rey and Kylo Ren, I liked the performers, I like 8 for its cinematography and the single most bad ass Jedi scene in all of Star Wars. But the Sequels don't convince the audience to suspend their disbelief, instead they openly invite comparisons the entire time. When they ever remake the Sequels, they need to ban the use of the words "Death Star" and "Hope" from the script entirely.

It feels like nothing has happened for 30 years since they only reference stuff we've seen on screen before. Except for Luke and Lando searching for a dagger and the trio breaking up.
Honestly at this point, the best i can see them doing for the Sequel era is giving the extended media over to people who can competently recontextualize them and/or actually try to tell stories that push the series forward. Won't fix their problems, but may somewhat redeem them to fans (see Phantom and Attack).

Partly agree with you. But I will say that the characters, plot points and dialogue are all extensions of that problem.
The girl they have standing in for Daisy Ridley is great, but that guy couldn't sound less like Adam Driver if he tried.

Why I won't be wasting my money 💯 it may be a beautifully updated original saga lego star wars but it's front face is the new trilogy, I wouldn't give them money.
Call me crazy but if the new trilogy didn't have such faulty writing, it would've been great. I like the new era and characters but I just wish they weren't depicted in the way that they were. Hopefully this age of resistance will get the "clone wars" treatment and it won't be as bad. Just opinions here, agree or disagree without the need to put me down please. 👍
The had such good potential with these new characters and their stories but they had such bad script writing. It was really going somewhere in the Force Awakens but then down hill by The Last Jedi.
This clip channel would be a lot better if you actually just showed the clip and didn’t feel the need to unnecessarily explain what the clip is and how you feel about it afterwards.
