Yeah I missed 3 notes on expert vocal on this song (on controller). Drums is literal hell though lol Edit: update, I missed 0 notes but didn't flawless because of 1 strike :/
The drums are really hard, but it seems so fun to play. I’m starting to get the hang of it on Medium, and I want to learn it on hard. Thanks for the vid!
hard and expert are basically the same thing. I personally find Expert easier since the notes are wider and more spaced out. Whenever I play on hard my brain just can't process what's going on screen. Basket Case for example is so easy on expert compared to hard.
The drum roll at 3:08 is literally a nightmare. No matter how on time I am I can’t do it. It’s pissing me off because I can 100% the rest of the song now.
Fortnite festival really is the best thing they added this season, still currently fishing out my guitar hero controller Also what speed did you have this on?
@@BREADZILLA1The track speed, yeah. The song is still played exactly the same and the notes are still played exactly the same, but they’re just more spaced out. Go to the Game Settings and at the bottom - in the Festival section - you can tune, change the track speed and the background opacity.
this fortnite festival shit get serious!! a friend of a friend took that #1 i got by literally 1 perfect and i conceded i think i'm done grinding mr brightside forever LOL
@@EpicTkoWko real! Only rhythm games I’ve ever played have been guitar hero/rockband, so I’m still trying to get used to the judgement timings. I’m trying to get higher on highway tune lead, but I’m stuck at around top ~75 cause I can never hit more perfects :/
@@colbyvi the judgements can be kind of brutal especially on songs with a lot of pull notes - I have no idea what the timing window is but it feels both fairly generous and extremely easy to slip from at the same time. doesn't help that there's no hitsounds and there isn't an easy way to tell if you're hitting early or late
something i dont think people have noticed with festival but whatever instrument you choose is louder then the other instruments so when i wanted to learn mr brightside on the drums (im a drummer) i just listened to this video 15 times or more
Yeah this version of the song is actually a bit different than the original. A lot of the drum parts seem to have been altered by AI, Epic, or The Killers themselves. Like I just can't find the version of the song that has the drums exactly like this: 0:49 and 0:56
How the hell and what are you on that you can keep up with that I'm a drummer and I can't really get past medium using a PlayStation 4 he has to be using PC? Thanks for the video
They are working on compatibility with instruments that will be introduced probably when they update the tracklist but they haven't confirmed exactly when that'll be
I was going to get the high score out of my friends on every song on every instrument and after playing on drums I can safely say of fuck that I’m doing everything else
I feel like trying this on a controller or keyboard is always going to be more difficult. With a drum set you can literally bounce off one beat onto the next one, but you can’t really do that with buttons.
i still don’t understand how to do the first part with the rapid hi-hats, i know how the release notes works but damn it’s really confusing to get the timing down on that
I treat them like a normal note. When there’s practically no gap you can just press it like normal. Might not hit it with a ‘Perfect’, but it won’t give you a strike or anything.
So you can kinda play along with it if you are not tabbed in to keep messing with the play and go or whatever, And I remeber playing actualy in game and doing really well until that just real long drum roll sort of thing- like half way through one would slip by or id over click and scratch >:()
Can y'all try to beat that one dude's score on Vocals for Brightside? Man somehow reached over 200k and yet I'm sitting on the top 52 merely half his, like HOW
The score isn't legit. There's been a bug for a while where (IIRC) band overdrive counts for solo scores, and also scores are sometimes posted to the wrong instrument leaderboards. Nothing that can be done until Epic fixes it and removes any glitched scores like that, unfortunately.
@@EpicTkoWko dang, hopefully soon enough scores will be fixed, other than that, keep killing it with those (FC) scores, you and your friends are absolutely awesome

They're pull/lift notes - you have to hold the previous note and then release on the triangle. They're a very fun part of the mode when you get used to them but I do think they need more intuitive visuals.

@@RichMaxwell It's ultimately representing the same thing though, it's just formatted a little differently. This chart's pretty consistent about where it represents notes - kicks are on lane 1, snares on lane 2, hi-hats on lane 3, cymbals on lane 5 etc. There's compromises that have to be made with the chart because - Festival doesn't have a dedicated kick lane for pad mode - they're unwilling to use three note chords at any point so if there's a kick, snare and hi-hat happening at the same time one of those things is getting omitted (almost always the kick) and - obviously asking controller players to repeatedly press hi-hats like that with their thumbs would be... a bit much, so they'll usually have it as a press / lift format. The chart still makes sense, but I think it's just laid out in a different way than you're used to - it has to sacrifice a bit of accuracy for the sake of being playable on controller (which to be fair this is something that does create a lot of problems for festival but for this chart I don't think it matters.)
