As a TN girl I tried the Whataburger and the brisket and was yucked out by the meh and the nasty.. I love TN food, It is so much better than TX food.
In fact the climate is better in TN, the food is better, the beer is better, the vodka is better, just everything tastes better and I don't burn up with the heat and pray for deciduous trees for shade. I don't look for shade that much in TN but hell in TX I try to find any way to keep from roasting. How is TX such a great state.. It is not life sustaining. I may have to move there if I get grandkids and will try to like it but will miss TN so much.

I keep a bottle on standby by for the morning after the crazy beach night. Brings you right out of your hangover and sets you up for a lazy breezy day on the beach. So, does the guy that represented Arkansas actually live in the state? It sounds like he hasn't been paying ANY attention to the culinary side of things. Food-wise, Arkansas is the literal birthplace of cheese dip. CHEESE DIP. Soy beans? For the love... Take more than a second to respond. Another taste treat that seems to stem from Arkansas is chocolate gravy and biscuits. Who doesn't like slightly thickened hot chocolate on a fluffy biscuit? Skippy peanut butter... Anyway, lets move to beverages. Ozarka water? IT ISN'T BOTTLED IN ARKANSAS. That is Texas water. How about world famous Mountain Valley Spring Water our of Hot Springs? Crystal Geyer water is bottle in Norman, Arkansas. Both far superior waters and it didn't take me a moment to recall them. There are SO many good places to eat, but I will stick with just one. The best place for steak in the state is, I believe, Taylor's in McGhee. Doe's Eat Place is also fantastic, but I give the edge to the dry-aged steaks at Taylor's.
Next time there is a question about things related to Arkansas, can we vet who gets to answer them?

There is an historical account of a Brazilian ship carrying seed rice into Charleston harbor needing repairs . The ship had no hard currency and paid in rice seed . Thus began the South Carolina rice industry . Carolina Gold Seede Rice was the choicest of rices amongst the European nobility and wealthy merchants in the 18th Century . South Carolina: Aside from Pimento cheese, we got red rice, she-crab soup, mustard BBQ, Frogmoore stew, shrimp & grits, and catfish stew.
Also for chain restaurants I think a lot more people would recognize Sticky Fingers or Wild Wing Cafe than Hall's Chophouse.
