Man I miss learning about this stuff. So interesting.

You said "antibody conjugates that react to the proteins you're interested in"
which proteins? because the conjugate reacts to the antibody, not any protein.. no?
hope I can get an answer cause I've been struggling to understand.

In this video, we're using "conjugate" or "antibody conjugate" to mean an antibody that has already been covalently bound (conjugated) to a label. By "react to the proteins you're interested in", we are referring to the antibody-antigen interaction. A validated, unconjugated antibody, or a validated antibody conjugate, will have specificity for, and bind to, only its target protein.
While the focus of this video is on antibody conjugates, it is also possible to conjugate other biomolecules to dyes or other types of labels.
