DJ Matrix's real name was Demetrius Ford. He was a West Coast rapper who came out at the same time Arabian Prince & NWA first started. This was the only single ever made under the alias DJ Matrix.
One of the best EVER!!! 36 years ago I'd drop a tab and some acid and tear up the dance floor to this amazing gem!! Now I'm a grandma lol

OMG! I use to have this 12" back in the day. I lost it back in 94 and since then I haven't heard it. Wow - its been 16 years....man, brings me back! WOW, is all I can say!

I remember this jam from high school days. I had a 12" vinyl myself, but lost it some years down the road. Someone mentioned Point After, small club, but always jammin on Fri and Sat. I think I used to hear this song at Cilly's nightclub on the corner of Ala Wai and McCully in the basement of the condo and anyone remember Masqurades across the street where that condo stands now? Ahh the good old days....

Did anybody dance Freestyle here? I noticed everybody here break danced to this song. When this came out in Hawaii breaking wasn't popular anymore. People were already dancing Freestyle. And then the year after this song everybody was dancing Hip Hop
