I’ve never had a cat, but my dog gets very upset when he hears a loud car or ambulance. I just pick him up and comfort him until he calms down and let him lay down in my lap while I study. As for at night, maybe you could record your voice whispering and have it play where your cat sleeps? That way she hears your voice and thinks your there.

Picked pile 3 and literally sobbing. It resonates so much. We were together for two years, been separated for 21 months and I miss him. I feel like he still loves me but he mostly stays away and has been in and out.
