These journalists just don’t understand Rangnick. He literally invented the Gegenpress, managers like Klopp and Nagelsmann look up to him for his work. Branthwaite wage increase is my issue, it has maguire/anthony vibes of going to high too soon as you always state mark. The reports this week say mainoo will be offered 80k and we are offering 160k for branthwaite, not for me.
U have to pay them right, Rashford make 375k, everybody else low 200k, u can’t get a Starter player and keep him on 50k 80k, Mainoo also settling on the team still, when he’s establish 160k deal.

I would take Amrabat. For 15-20m and the wages he’ll be on we wouldn’t get that for anyone unless it was for a really young unproven talent. You know what you get when he plays and he’s disciplined enough to do a job.

Pellistri and Ahmad are better than Anthony NOW and both have a much higher ceiling given they have more development to come whereas Anthony has stagnated, The problem is UTD are caught again in the Wages and contract trap which is hindering us from selling these overpaid under performing players, It would be a travesty to let either Pellistri or Ahmad go now without either of them being given a good decent chance and a run of games.
In regards to which four from the list:
Branthwaite, Todibo and then Emerson and Frimpong (who will cost less than/equal to Neves) and then pull a striker from somewhere.
Frimpong can cover for RW (alternative for Olise) and RB.

Branthwait, Todibo 1st. Then activate all of these players with release fees. A Rb+ a striker for 45mil total is great value and we need signings. If the defence cost us 90 total and those players with releases bring us to 150 ish total I’d be happy. Buying 4/5 quality squad/1st teamers is worth it

Whenever we are in for a player and we are the only club gunning for that player, the saddest thing they tend to be flops Sancho, Antony and Di Maria etc now we the only ones in for Branthwaite.

Branthwaite is just an average player...mid-range at the most. I have said many times...United can only sign mid-range player simply because they are not in the champions league. I believe Olise would prefer to sign for Chelsea although they are also not in the champions league.

We (INEOS) have a different approach here to be moderately intelligent about it - try to do it more grassroots, trying to locate young talent. Some clubs seem to have an ability to do that, Southampton, Lille. United have done it really poorly.. Zero chance catching up never mind overtaking other clubs based on this strategy

£10 mill is nothing and if he’s playing at cdm with Mainoo and other another midfielder who’s quality, that’s when he’s good, not sticking him straight from injury and a loan into lb and saying he’s crap. He played with Mainoo and that was his best group of games all season.
