    Fun fact: the Austin-Rover logo is still used on parts used by the modern Jaguars and Land Rover, similar to how the Chrysler pentastar is on parts used by Stellantis' cars, mostly RAMs, the Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Challenger and Charger

    The MG Maestro, B869NWK last tax expired in 1991 so the 1984 car only lasted seven years. The Montego estate B674AOX is more mysterious, new at the same time but no tax since November 1984 when the car was new.

    Montego........3 gearboxes in 12 months. Designed by idiots, built by uncaring clowns on a self destructive mission. These cars were so bad that other manufacturers died laughing.

      i had an mg montego F231HBW, sold it with over 100,000 miles,only problem was worn flywheel ring gear

      Did the Montego use the same box as a Land Rover Discovery? Sounds like it...those things were seemingly made of bakelite and wooden dowels - 'high end, luxury precision' garbage.
