I honestly feel sorry for those characters having to wear those costumes in all this heat!!!😱
I know! I bet they have some sort of cooling pads or something in there!
I worked at a competing theme park in the summer in the costume character department. In one hour, you would go out for 30 min in costume, then rest the other 30 minutes. This was in normal temperature. After 85 degrees you would go out for 20 min and rest 40, at 95 you would go out 10 min and rest 50 from what I remember. This was in 1992. The costume had no ventilation other than the eye holes and you pretty much had tunnel vision. If you wanted ventilation, you would have to face in the direction of any breeze to get air into the eyeholes. Couldn’t see below you or to the sides. You were very vulnerable. They always sent out someone with you to watch you (another person in the character department, you take turns watching each other on different days). Despite the person watching you, I was attacked several times. Still, it was a fun time and much better than being in the rides department. All for $6.25 an hour when you were a character, or $6.00 when it was your day to watch over the character.

I’m really hoping that when lightning lane opens it doesn’t mess up Haunted mansion’s wait time.
Hopefully not. But they will probably keep the virtual queue until they finish the rest of the construction. So I’m guessing that won’t be done until at least December. But I could be wrong… I’ve been wrong before 🤣
@@Amanda_Explores_Disney if I’m not mistaken isn’t pirates under referb as well? That might push them to open LL quicker.
Pirates is open now. And even if it wasn’t… they don’t have the queue space over there for virtual and lightning lane. So I’m pretty confident they will stick with the virtual until construction is completed
@@Amanda_Explores_Disney I think fresh baked said recently that they expect it to go down for a referb. Btw this is the first video of yours I watched, I love the way you explain things! Keep up the good work!

In my point of view the Jedi are evil
I prefer the original version of the ride without all the nightmare before Christmas stuff. They close the ride for too long in preparation for it and afterward.
If I had to choose between the 2… I would have to choose the original as well. And you’re right they do close it down for too long.
