I've always found that the best contracts to do are silage bales. Yes they do take a while to complete as you have to do 3 or sometimes 4 stages but there are nearly always plenty of bales left over, for you to sell or store on your own farm until the price is preferable or for your cows, if you completely finish the field past contract completion
You should add the animal grazing mod so all you have to do with horses is give them their mineral feed which would save a lot of time and money. ( and is also realistic)😊
I'd like to see a full harvest of all the new crops before you do anything special with them.... Also for Contracts I've always thought harvesting was more profitable since you get a little leftover product at the end and really dont spend any money except fuel costs assuming you own a harvester already. If you use the Better Contracts mod and do 20-30 fields you make a ton. Second to that is silage contracts. AI is always generous on how much silage overage you get to keep.
Just for interest, the problem with harvest contracts on some maps is that the ratio Giants uses to figure out percentage needed to complete a contract gets screwed up by the map maker using Field Dimension by Bitmap to create the fields rather than the Giants "blue square" method. So on some maps you do a harvest contract and even if you get every grain of crop the contract wont complete because the ratio is off. It happens with other types of contracts too, but harvest contracts seem to be the worst. If you are ever playing a mod map and this happens, this is why.
You should do both. Fertilize the fields before you do the harvest contract on them for a bigger bonus. But if you're looking at time spent vs money made then nothing get close to fertilizing.

Yes, you have the growth and watching your farm develop and I do play that angle too, but doing contracts actually breaks up the monotony for me. Again, it has nothing to do with money.
With fertiliser contracts on pricision farming you can be a b8t cheaty by setting the spread rate to the lowest setting using the least amount of fertiliser possible

I wish Giants would do something about the camera crash! It was not this bad on FS19 with the camera no crash mod. I have the anti crash mod for FS22 but it doesn't seem to help. Good video!

My opinion for what it is worth. Keep the Chickens and drop Maize Plus. The difficulty is ridiculous and a farm yard without chickens is empty. Yet another Mod that is all or nothing. Farm yard chickens eat grain. Why cannot Maize Plus be selectable per animal type? Once again a good idea, half baked. Love this series and cannot wait until this map drops.

The other time you where trying to find a different or better entrance to the hay field. If you past the linseed field all the way then on the right there’s a opening to hay field.
When your doing contracts with fertilizer turn off auto application and manually adjust to lowest output. Still counts as an application and you will use alot less fertilizer.
Mr Daggerwin. I'm curious about why you're not using weights to the 🚜 It could have been better when your tracktor is "falling back" when you have heavy tools on also when you're harvesting rye wheat canola barley oats maize/corn sojabeans sunflower and tracktor with grass silage or maize/corn silage or crop silage it will be helpful with weights on just so you know.
Dag this comment is for your competition multiplayer game - Hey Dag did you know that there is a small farm sawmill by -The Lort - and its only 10,000 grand. Its a great sawmill it holds 100,000 liters of wood and it makes boards as well as furniture. The sawmill is in the mod hub.

Whole Crop is cutting and collecting all of the plant matter, seeds and stalks, and mashing it together as animal feed. Normal Harvest is collecting just the seeds for human or animal consumption, the stalks are either baled as straw or chopped and left on the ground.
servicing the telehandler is going to boost the engine hp but u only drive it around the farm and u don't really need to go too fast so servicing it maybe not?
Can't say about using a tipper trailer for bales speciffically is very common, some do tho. But a farmer using what he have in a way it wasn't supposed to because he don't have what he should have had is very common.
Can that Mud pit be repaired ?? A friend on You Tube had a Tube Bale Snake go buzzerk on his Farm and it went wild over most of the Map till He was able to Wrangle it down. It just exploded sending the Wrapping Machine flying into another Field. I got a Stomach ache and tears in My Eyes from laughing so hard.. I think it was over 15 Bales he had in it. Did you ever go inside the Wind Mill ?
Daggerwin you would probably be better off using the selectable bale capacity mods instead of continuously fighting with the hesston bales i couldn't take it anymore😂 i love them but i just couldn't continue fighting with them.

The contract mechanism in this game sucks! There is no reason for contracts to disappear right before your eyes. They even disappear after you have accepted but before it moves to the active list. It is annoying. Why can't Giants just wait until the close of the month, beginning of the new month THEN mark all incomplete contracts as AI completed. The solution for PC players is to use the Better Contracts mod and accept every contract you want at the beginning of the new month. Just keep cycling new contracts until everything is offered. Otherwise they start disappearing until nothing is left...Stupid...
@@stevendaly4640 Yes, that is the excuse for why they do it that way. My point is that is a bit ridiculous in a game. It is annoying. Last year at this time it was so bad that one by one they would disappear in a matter of 30 seconds until nothing was left. Giants at least fixed it so that now they are "fulfilled" a little more slowly. But there is no reason to do this at all. You should not be forced into making a split second decision as soon as you turn the month for what contracts you wish to do, and base game you can only open three contracts at once anyway, so you better choose the three best ones because by the time you finish the first one everything else is gone. It is just a Fd up way to do things.

Did I notice that extending the boom on the tele-handler allowed the bail to come off easier when retracting the boom?
Chickens need base food (corn) to increase their health and start laying.

The additional game settings mod have an option to turn off camera collision. I've used that for over a year now.
