I like the way everyone used to dine together at a nice table... even when they had no reason for actually being together.
We ate at the family up until I was 16 years old. One of the very best memories I have of childhood and growing up.
They lived in the same boarding house in those days
We eat at the nice family table every night. There’s no devices allowed at the table. We are trying to raise children with standards and manners.
“Dobbin, Darwin, Darryl...you know what’s his name! 🙄” -Endora 🥰😂🥰
Don’t forget Derwood and Duspin😅
And Dumb-Dumb.
Yes! I recognised him immediately 😂
This is one of my favorite episodes, and Dick York is at the top of his game here.
I lol when he said"she keeps her teeth in a glass by the windowsill"
Her teeth are like stars, that come out at night...
"we all need sunshine" lol
The Twilight Zone episode , "a Penney for your thoughts" he plays a bank worker who flips a coin and gains thought reading powers.
Sounds like another one of "Eleanor Rigby's" foibles, who is also found to be "keeping her face in a jar by the door". What IS it for?
@patrickryan1515 yeah Eleanor Rigby is also the first thing I thought of when he said that line.
Over the years I have watched this numerous times I still watch Alfred Hitchcock on Me-TV 1 a.m. in the morning
Yes I watch it on MeTV too!😊
A great episode showcasing Dick Yorks fine acting. He had many talents! Thanks for sharing!!
@RUFUS T. FIREFLY he didn't leave Bewitched, I'm sorry to say he passed away. I can't remember what he had exactly it was some sort of debilitating cancer. I loved him great actor. Penny for your Thoughts is one of my top favorite Twilight Zone episodes.
@@outerspaceoutpost He left Bewitched in 1969 because of a seizure and passed away in 1992.
He had a back injury...pain meant he couldn't work
$200 was equivalent to $1,797.81 in 1959 when this was filmed. That's a whole stimulus check! Don't mess with people's coin! Period.
It was 1955.
So very clever, pre “Big Brother w/cameras everywhere”, of course. TY 🙏
3:55
I literally LOL’d! I wasn’t expecting that for some reason. 🤣
Haha Dick York almost took his pants off!
Dick York is my great grandfather Kim York is my nana 😄
Awesome
Great actor
I will never forget his last days when he telephoned from his bed to all kinds of people to help the homeless and so many others. He had a telephone and a familiar name and he used these two things left to him to help countless people and raise hundreds of thousand of dollars.
Bedridden and dying he used all he had left - his telephone and his name to constantly raise money for worthy charities and desperate people. What an amazing man - he said. He would call in shows, network with old friends and more.
When I was seven my big brother had Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine I honed my reading skills and loved every story I hid under the covers reading every night with a flashlight.
I thought I had seen all of Hitchcock's work, but not this. Thank you so much for presenting this.
he presents only
Damn Darrin is slick lol
Never saw Dick York outside of Bewitched. Yay! He's here.
He made a few appearances in the original Twilight Zone series
GaslitWorld f. Melissa B Happens. Thanks. Bye. Goodness
He did a twighlit zone
Saw him in an episode of Thriller too.
I'm so old that I still expect banks to look like this
Boo Spanyer Cassiopeia 🎟🥂
You mean they don’t? 😅
Not just the ACTING, but the WRITING in these old Hitchcock TV shows is just so FAR SUPERIOR to anything seen on TV today...
This was such wonderful plot with great actors. 👍
Don't mess with a professor☺️
Whats so great about the story is how he never steals anything just gets his money back..lol..but also gets even..
How can you not love this?
Wish you had shown the full episode
I can hear Samantha, with her gorgeous smile, at the end saying...."Well"
After all of Endora's antics it's no wonder Darren turned bad.
Love Dick York. Great actor. RIP. 💖✝
He's my great grandfather he was an evil man but a great actor
@@hellboy4860 I doubt that very much. He would help the homeless out by giving them free food etc, so he couldn't of been that bad. 😐
@@drchunkybiscuit9973 he beat his wife and kids and was also verbally abusive I swear
@@hellboy4860 ur lying sir stop it u won’t mess up a good mans name
@@hellboy4860 That doesn't sound like him. I've met his sons and they talked about how sweet he was.
I love watching Alfred Hitchcock movies with a side of Jack and Coke and some sticky icky
Don't fuck with Derwood... ;-)
Devious Darren.
Do not mess with "Duspen" 🤣
I screamed when they cut to the dude and he was fully in the snow except for his legs 😂😂😂
It's sadly ironic that York's career was destroyed by a chronic back ailment : (
Not ailment but an injury while filming with Gary Cooper. Bad luck
@@mgsa5722 poor guy got addicted to painkillers, from what I read…
"The Dusty drawer" I see y,.hmmmm. 🤔. I must remember this. 😆 🤣
Yes, indeed.”You must remember this. A kiss is still a kiss. A sigh is just a sigh. The fundamental things apply…a time goes y”
Sorry…premature striking of the “Send” button. I had intended to finish by saying, “The fundamental things apply….as time goes by”
The best Darrin Stevens
Never noticed how much did your looks like Jim Carrey. Even his voice and mannerisms. I guess Jim Carrey wasn’t born when I was watching did you work in the 60s on bewitched.
who looks like Jim Carey?
Very true!
Thank you for posting!!
Love watching and seeing how America once was.
It's so sad that the American I grew up in, is just an foreign immitation of what used once was! Make it in America again!
Weird!
Awesome Great Episode! Thanks for uploading! I LOVE the Hitchcock Presents series! I'm subbing your channel and hope for more....
He was so shady as he went about getting his money back (and destroying Mr. Tritt's career). And it was everything! I didn't see the end coming.
I love D y's face
THE BIG PAYBACK...
I loved this :) Thanks for the upload!
He’s got crazy eyes👀👀👀👀
A year or so before he met Samantha where his life took an amazing turn for the better lol.
Aww…The Era before CCTV & Internet 🛜
I wish you guys would make your full content available for your would-be global customers. Peacock is not available in Spain, but I still want to watch all these episodes! 😀
😮 wow great episode
He got him back
Does this have a beginning? Sort of frustrating...I really do appreciate your channel and generosity...just confused.
I love this one! ❤
simple but made me smile and laughed🤣🤣🤣
Great episode! Ty.
Mr. Tritt was closer to retirement than "going places" at the bank!
I find it hard to believe no one would look in that drawer in the first place and found the gun.
ha ! i thought the same !
Helane Solomon
Me too!! RIP Dick York
This was Back in I guess you call it Way Back in the day so this is feasible for entertainment
Thanks for the upload
Enjoyed this
should have used a chocolate gun.
It was a secret hidden drawer.
Love this one been hoping to see this one a long time thanks 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Watched it twice, so funny! Lol
Even sounds a little like Jim Carrey.
Youngster 🤗😘
😮about the 5:30 mark, that man, i remember him being on the Barney Miller show! Several appearances, i think! Hes one of my favorites!
That's justice!
Darrin no Darrin. 😅😅😅😅😅😅
So eerie how Dick York reminds me of Jim Carrey on here lol
Do the math.
Yes
@@jeffaller6190 I know they're related. But it's so uncanny how they act alike after seeing this episode especially.
Mr Tritt looks like mr burns
Thanks for sharing this ❤
Good shows
Come on no way he would take him seriously the secong attempt. They often do get away with plays hitting on less popular employees.
I put this on to drift off, and it kept cracking me up. It’s like something off of Nuclear Revenge.
It’d be more of a twist if he hid it in his undershirt which all the characters try to stop him from taking off
He was in another Hitchcock Presents. You Cant be a Little Girl your whole life.
Plot twist, turns out he was wrong about the 200 dollars. He got drunk one night, and completely forgot he lost it in a poker game. So he innocently sent the poor teller to the funny farm.
Moral of the story, don't drink and bank.
Was this the actual reveal?
I have York’s autobiography.
One of my very favorites!!
Nice video
Cleverly designed
I agree, but I wonder why they didn’t make Mr. Logan put the gun in his pants since no one would check there
@@lukacunningham342 it’s Hitchcock’s way of writing I guess.
Darrin!😁🤟
Great episode
just perfect!! :} i love these kinds of endings :} 🌷
Samantha .......... Samantha ...................
Plectic Melmo!
Excellent ☺
that was perfect !
Why not show the full episode?
Got to love it!
No video cameras😅😅
Round 2 is wildly unrealistic....the teller knows York hid the gun the first time around and will surely do it again.
It's a secret false bottom drawer tho ...he doesn't know that
Is that not the lady from a La glass...the one playing as the maid?!
really good
Genius ❤
200 dollars was worth 1,797.81 in 1959? If you go back far in time you’ll find that, 0 dollars was worth a million dollars
He looks like that rich guy in the Simpsons.
C Montgomery Burns? Vladimir Putin also looks like Mr Burns, lol.
Bill Olsen lol
Bill Olsen I purposely left out mr burns name just to see if anyone else would see it.
@@ThatGworl2023 Ehhhhhhxcellent!
Please Do,
The episode Don't come back alive
And then. The mind games people of all people played. And forgot their forefathers were watching ....!!!! Mr SHARAD PANDEY Virna Pandey
Does anyone remember the episode where the lover dies in the elevator?
Whilst going down?
It's amusing unless you had been married to someone like that.
Let me see if got this correct, you're convinced that somebody'd stolen your money, ... 10 months later you go after him?
Revenge is a dish best served cold.
Your right. I was thinking the same thing !
@@bunnybezel4137 i wonder why he rushed in, he could have waited 10 years.
Recovery of bad loans ..& more such
Jim Carey should have played Darrin in the Bewitched movie.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why did everyone back then call everyone Mr/Mrs, even those they were friends with??
Courtesy
That was the custom then. I was told that where I work, a man and a woman (who didn’t like each other) worked in different departments from the 1920s into the 1960s and always addressed each other as “Mr.” and “Miss”, never using first names.
Idk why he, York, reminds me of Jim Carrey!!
Jim Carrey??
BABABOY
i absolutely agree but i think your opinion is a bit too political
Karma
jim carrey displaying his thespian versatility in this episode!
@49jubilee very likely;)
