My M9 saved my life and the life of my buddy in Sadr City in 2005. He got hit crossing an alleyway. I ran to his aide and got a bolt override jam in the process. As I drug him around a corner, a dude stuck his AK out of a window right near us and my buddy (who was slumped over my shoulder) grabbed my pistol from the holster and emptied a mag into the guy saving both our lives. So Berettas will ALWAYS be cool with me boys. We both got bronze stars with valor for literally saving each other hahahah. Thanks Beretta for not jamming.
You said, “people from Tennessee, maybe you need to cut down on drinking a little bit.” Ironic. I am from Tennessee. And I am currently drinking watching this.
Noticed the same issue with my LTT slide when I swapped optics. One of the three screws on the plate came loose and none of them had loctite. Added some loctite and yeeted them on there (tight is tight).
@@johnnybagofdoughnuts4193 I'm using an RMR Type2 HRS. No issues with height over because it's truly minimal, but I also train for it as well. Even though the impact with the dot vs the standard irons or even a lower dot isn't that outrageous.
I have two LTTs, one for duty/carry, and one for competition/training. I also had the same issue with the plate coming lose, but only on one of them, it happened after 3k rounds. Though they shouldn't be coming lose from the factory, the reality is that you still want to tighten down everything yourself. You're supposed to do this with any weapon system and it seems handgun components are not the exception. I always torque just a tad more than recommended to account for discrepancies. I will absolutely disagree with the idea that Berettas will stop working with a little sand in their mags. Not only was this something I didn't experience while in the Marines, but it's something I've never experienced with these LTTs. I live by the Mojave Desert so I've dropped mags in fine sand, and in competition venues. As a matter of fact, I went those 3k rounds without cleaning the gun or the mags. I could hear the spring and interior mag wall scraping with sand when I'd load my mags. The reliability of this gun has been incredible, better than my Glocks, and also like you guys I've been using crappy steel case ammo. If you aren't using the Factory Beretta mags with the special coating meant specifically to deal with sand, I suggest you get those, but even my Mecgars have handled sand and dirt very well. Seriously, try switching out the mags in case you have some lemons. And to beat a dead horse here, I was in one of Langdon's classes where many students there were dropping mags all day in Arizona sand and not a single malfunction with any student's LTT.
Thanks for the great video. For some reason it always feels like I'm watching Hop from TFBTV, Henry from 9-hole and Ian from forgotten weapons make a video for a highschool media club.
Red Loctite - Savage! (For all of the nonbelievers; you CAN remove threaded screws with Brake Cleaner from Walmart. Soak a qtip and dab on the top of the screw liberally and let sit over night (let it run over and soak). I was a non believer until I tried it, and it worked). Yes red loctite is not a “best choice” but it is an answer). Have fun.
I love how unintentionally wholesome all your guys' videos are while also being just irreverent enough to get a few belly laughs every time. It's like a shorter, firearm-centric episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.
I actually spoke to a couple reps at Langdon who have stated they suspect the reason for any screws walking is a bad batch of vibratite they recieved. Upon install, if you find your mount loosening, they recommend reapplying red thread locker to spec to fix.
26:50 I'm not sure what y'all are referring to when you say there aren't many holsters. Is there something I'm not understanding here?
Mine came from Langdon and I had to Red lock tight mine also after it coming loose twice about 2k in, 700 rounds later and nothing yet…. Still love the gun tho.
I to had issues getting my thumb on the mag release without breaking my grip I just swapped it to the other side I can keep my finger on the trigger and hit the mag release with my middle finger
Had this exact same problem with my LTT ELITE 92. Shot about 600rds through it and wondered why my zero was off. Checked the mounting plate and had extreme wobble side to side. My witness marks for my optic were still showing good. After removing my optic all 3 screws from their factory were no longer lined up from their witness marks. Reached out to LTT and had the WORST customer service I've seen. Otherwise the firearm is fantastic, but really put a sour taste in my mouth about buying again from them.
