We got to explore this beautiful country a couple weeks ago, and it quickly became one of our favourite places on Earth. Here's our complete video guide to 48 hours in Iceland!
In summer, the sun doesn’t set, meaning daylight lasts 24 hours, which allows you to make the most of a long weekend and experience a real change, especially coming from Dubai.
If you’re ready for beautiful greenery, refreshing temperatures, gorgeous landscapes and incredible wildlife, it’s time to plan your 48 hours in Iceland.

Tip for tourists in Iceland.
PLEASE DON'T ACT WEIRD ON THE ROADS.. yes it's a small country with almost no people but still 330000 people want to get around too... so youre not alone in the world. So PLEASE just find a spot to get of the road to go look at something, don't just stop in the middle of our tiny roads.. there are way to many people that do this and it can get very annoying and cause accidents. Rant done
Rant approved! Very good point and a good thing for every tourist to keep in mind. Safety first!
There is not many people traveling in iceland and its allowd to pull over almost where you want when you are on the road

Nejra! I was hoping you'd see this! You were nothing but helpful to us and the volcano mix up ended up being for the better as it gave us so much more time to get lost along our drive to Olafsvik, so much of this is thanks to you! We loved Iceland so much that we've decided to come back in December to film another 48 hour winter edition and we'll make sure to stop by!

+What Doesn't Suck? It depends on if you get a white christmas or not. If you get a white christmas then just any thing, my personal favorite is to have hot koko and watch a good movie, but you will NEED warm clothes if you go outside whichnis amazing.
You chould also go see the Northen lights I just look out my window, if I'm lucky.

...Great to see you had an awesome 48 hrs.. But you still havent seen anything except the massive tourist sites... Look forward to seeing your clip when you visit the West, North or even East coasts of Iceland with all its (hidden/not so hidden) wonders... i can say that for a fact.. Does not suck one bit.. :D Come december : Northern lights tour in the east coast, perhaps whalewatching, skiing, )....

Hi guys, please can you add some info regarding flights, which airline you used? I'm planning on doing the same trip but with flights I can't seem to cram all of those things in 😊🇦🇪✈️
Hi Shelley, that's awesome you're planning a trip! We flew with SmartWings through Prague and the WOW from Paris to Reykjavik, but if I were you I would check out WOW Airlines site and find the cheapest city the flew from in Europe and then the cheapest flight to there from Dubai to cut down on travel time. i was on the hill at another giant screen in town with thousaaaands of people watching that game. it was amazing. i'm back in canada now :( that sucks. want to go back

yep it was near harpa close to the end of that shopping street (opposite end of where the church is, past the hand knitting association hand knit sweater store, past subway) in a park/grassy hill place...lol...there were thousssaaaands of people there. much better than that other screen. at least where u guys were u had hambugers and hotdogs and bathrooms near by! i didn't lol. i was hungry and had to pee like nothing else by the end of the game. i biked to harpa (2 mins away) to use the washroom. glad i had my bike with me so i could beat the crowd to the toilets. by the time i came out of the bathroom there was a line. that was some good timing. this place was on the news when the iceland team came home. this is where they did their viking chant. all 10,000 or so of em

yeah it was great. iceland flags in every window, every store window, the people were great, in good spirits. i went into one of many of those puffin gift shops to get a flag. I got the LAST one lol. then i went to find a place to park my bike. i think i got the very last bike rack in the city lol and then walked over to the hill with my lil flag and a pepsi and watched the game. at the end of the game everyone sat or knealed down on the ground. i was left standing lol i didnt know what to do so i just did what they were doing. there were drones with cameras i didnt want to stand out lol. that was funny. i was like "omg wtf.....guess im knealing on the ground and getting grass stains on my knees".....luckily i didnt get stains. just wet knees.
afterwards i was biking home to my campsite with my flag and my icelandic sweater on. other tourists would stop me and yell "congradulationnns!!!"
"thaaaanks, but i don't live here!" i'd say lol. guess i looked like i live there or something with my bike, flag and sweater lol. i wish i did. canada sucks now. i dunno what happened. everyone here has gone mental.

When you come to Iceland dear tourists, please.... PLEASE don't stop on the road unless there is marked area. Too many tourists stop all of a sudden to take pictures and put themselves and other drivers into hugh risk. Note that when driving around Iceland there is only one main road, some would think it is probably just a country road and therefore it is ok to stop all of a sudden. That is not the case!!! I just drove to Súðavík, Westfjords and four times people parked on the road to take pictures and on two occasions it was one a blind rise creacent. Not acceptable!!! So please dear tourists when you want to take pics you must find a zone marked P or M where it is legal to stop. Friendly advice from an Icelander who drives
This is REALLY good advice and thanks for the comment! It is SO hard not to just jerk over and stop every 5 seconds so really something important to remember to look for the safe zones. Luckily Iceland has done a great job of knowing exactly where many tourists will feel so inspired and has placed good pull off spots each time there is something truly incredible to see. Thanks for the advice!
