When we go to a ravine,we could find anything,such as iron,gold,etc or maybe some foods,and we don't want to waste our times. We Craft a bunch of furnaces to put the things that we found in the ravine,or in our adventure. One furnace is for gold,the other one is for iron,the other is for food or anything else,idk.
