- Joe Mazzulla joins us for the first episode of the View From The Rafters season to break down his unique approach to coaching in the NBA and to life in general. That includes his use of psychology and methodology with everyone around him, including his players. Most importantly, we ask him to give context to his best quotes including, “Nobody cares.” He also talks about his inspiration from Red Auerbach and Pep Guardiola, and why he thanked every member of the Boston Celtics staff via a personal letter following last season’s championship.
0:40 - Mazzulla discusses the subliminal messaging of his T-shirts and hoodies
2:05 - The value of a winning culture and the process of creating it
5:47 - Where do his unique thoughts and perspectives come from?

Joe has the perfect mindset for this organization. Back to back here we come.
it is so obvious to me that joe is going to end up as one of the greatest coaches of all time. we are so lucky to have him in beantown 🙏🏾
I think our coach is highly underrated… And I think that’s the way he likes it but as far as a Celtics fans concern, he is a top notch coach coaching a top-notch team☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️✅
I love Joe because he’s being him and not playing a role as just an nba coach.
Joe should write a book about mindset. Every organization would benefit from his words. Maybe I’ll write it myself
“Can we swear on this thing?” Really got me 🤣🤣🤣
I love coach energy and demeanor! Perfect fit for our staff and bball squad ! Let’s go Green. I can see the duck boats pulling up again. Let’s run it back!!!🫶🏾💚🍀
Love to see coach Maz providing the insights on what's going on behind those quotes!
Let's go Celtics ❤️💯🏀🏆
Great interview
Joe's madness was going overeveryones heads early on. Now that they won, his ideas and quotes are actually exactly what guys like JT, Jb need to hear. Even guys like Payton Pritchard who is that same dog mentality as joe, probably loves joes mentality towards winning and work etc
It’s really in life also. We can all get inspiration or ideas from all aspects of life. Sports taught me a lot about life. From failures and success to work environment
Great great interview with Mazzulla!
I always believed and trusted Joe, but I think I understand it now...
He is who he is throughout not acting or playing a role of an nba coach. Love that about him
Love this dude.
Joe should go down as one of the best coaches.
I just never understood some of the fanbase wanted Joe Mazzulla gone after his first year
Because of their stupid love affair with ime lol
Love to see this, Joe is awesome. But why release this video so late? Doesn’t really make sense to me.
Sixers fans really need someone like Joe in their organization
Good stuff
Great job mazz. Handling yourself in between two cavemen
Never forget them illegal ISOs 4-1 in the 80s 5-0 in the 80s 💀 we not that way no more idk who better but we not forced to be gay
Joe is Bill Bellichek in disguise 🥸
Johnston, Rhode Island

more Sean Grandy he should have got the TV job
I want him to replace scal
@@Dave2301-i3q He’s play by play, Scal does color
Appreciate Jrue holiday we like Payton the Role player not starter he’s
TJ Mcconell 🥲
All I do is track nba mistakes I hate Boston
This is not help this is me saying Joe my least favorite coach and Jrue can go anywhere & win championship 3 as the Defensive Guard and that’s scary
I hate LA to now
it’s just Jerry West and the 1alpha 2 beta relationships in LA one gay one straight till SHAQ & KOBE being straight giddy in the city of angels
i found out it’s
Diddy vs Bill Cosby in the NBA 💀💔
LA had there ways too it’s just good players
Boston is the thing that’s getting help from above they’re cheaters they slipping stuff to REFS
Sheikh Mansour should just buy the Celtics.. There is a clear connection between Man City and Celtics. It's also very obvious that Pep is Mazzulla's mentor.
sorry what you're talking about an all time great franchise becoming a play toy for the emiratis.
way to miss the point of what Joe said about history and honor.
@fanda6122 just say you want the owner to be some white guy. The same things Mazzulla talks about, setting standards for winning even among the staff. He states he got from Pep and Man City. They have been the most dominant and consistent team ever in the Premier League under Pep. Everything done strategically with foundations laid for longterm success. If that is what the Celtics become in the NBA, so be it. I take it and laugh as every other teams fan cry about it.
Get those Arabs away from my sports teams. Nothing good can be done from those backwards people being involved in American sports.
Sadly it's not possible, NBA doesn't allow sovereign country wealth to buy more than 20% of stake. Those countries want 100% this was discussed when Celtics went Abu Dhabi
@@sureshphandey5253 Why on earth would you be saddened by that. Keep these foreigners away from American sports. Those corrupt governments have no place meddling with our American sports and influencing them
Provocative is kind of just feeding into the Joe hate. Could’ve used a different word
I really love the no-nonsense, articulate coach, but occassionally swing his chair while talking makes me feel dizzy. It could be minor, compared with what he has achieved!
Man sit still joe damn 🤣
