You didn't get a life from selling the sniper, when you lose all lives in sandbox mode, it eventually goes back to the number of lives you had set it to, so it was just coincidental that it happened when you sood the sniper
Actually, the laggier a tower is, the MORE powerful it is... cause it's letting off either more projectiles, stronger damage per projectile.... or both.
