Hi Bailee. I really enjoyed the comprehensive 2024 review of your film watching on Letterboxd especially all of the lists that you shared. I've been making an effort to write short reviews on Letterboxd lately rather than just recording using the star rating. Great video and good to see a new video on your channel. Hope you have a great year.
Hi, Dave! Thanks for watching and for your remarks :) Nice! I'd be interested in hearing at the end of the year how writing reviews pans out and how/if it influences looking back on the year & recalling the films. yes, here's to a spectacular 2025 ☺✨
jean harlow... you're so real for that. is TCM Star of the Month on their tv channel or is it online? I'd totally check that out. I need to read Carol so bad. your lists are so good 😭and aesthetically pleasing. do you have a fairytale movie list? I looove fairytales and need to discover more. and thank you for making the James spader list lmao someone needed to.
They have an article on their website about the star and then have a number of their films airing throughout the month. So looking now, the January Star of the Month is George Raft. They'll play a few of his movies every Tuesday 8pm. I've found most SOTM features are available on WatchTCM for streaming after they air on the channel, but I'm not 100% sure how it works, like how much of a factor licensing is- it might depend on the star and their titles, especially in terms of recency. Thank you so much!! 💖 I've really been getting into making lists look nice- more color coding/gradient and adding decorative text & emojis. I have a couple fairytale lists in the works and another that's fairy + supernatural. I can send you the share link to them on IG! I'm just being picky about finalizing and putting them on public rn, lol. Thanks for watching, Emma! and for your comments! ✨
I will always stick with my old Hollywood films too. I adore the pre-code era. rn I'm watching the Nicole Kidman criterion collection and I could see myself trying to watch more of her films this year too.
I definitely want pre-code to stay a yearly staple for areas I watch from! yes, I need to watch Eyes Wide Shut and Portrait of A Lady before they're taken off The Criterion Channel!
What defined your 2024 in film? 🎞
Haven't watched yet but seeing you post a video again genuinely makes me happy. Hope you're doing well, Bailee!
Thank you, Chris!
