Even though I don't understand the language, I always look for this gentleman's videos, they're terrific, very informative, plus he plays very well. Please give him a raise!
At first glance, the P125 may sound louder and clearer. It's certainly brighter. The P225's sound is softer and warmer. But the P125's sound is sometimes so bright that it can even sound tinny. At certain times that power can give a distorted signal, the sound reverberates if you listen to the audio with headphones (we are talking about subtleties).. Although at the higher range the differences between the two pianos are minimal. In general, the sound of the P225 seems more rounded and balanced to me. But it's all a matter of nuances and personal tastes.
Agree, I went to Yamaha shop and compered them directly. Honestly prefer sound of p225.
P115 sounded less bright than P125 and P145. It was way better. Also better than the CFX sound in the P225. (I owned a CLP 635 with CFX sound .. now I own a P115)
CFX sound dynamic range is bad.
When playing louder you don't get the powerful sound you want .. really bad for pop music.
What is your opinion about the weight and action of the p225 keys compared to the p125?? And have the speakers improved??? And one more thing, have you tested the internal audio interface of the p225??

Lubie polityke tej firmy. Nie każdy potrzebuje polifoni 256, rozbudowanego DSP i MIDI, wejscia AUX i większych głośnikw by cieszyć sie przystępnym cenowo instrumentem oferującym praktycznie te same jakościowo brzmienia. Wkurzać zaczyna mnie roland wypuszczając genialny instrument jak ostatni Jupiter czy Juno X choć tak na prawde bazującym na tym samym silniku tylko z innym interfacem i z PŁATNĄ!!! SUBSKRYBCJĄ na brzmienia...

The problem is that the P125 is now only offered in his P125a version , which is a downgrade version of the P125. The P125a do not have an audio interface integrated. That is a big issue for people connecting their piano with their computer. It is a shame that Yamaha did this. Now if you want a P125 it will be without an audio interface. Means you should pay it very much less. P225 have an audio interface. Yamaha learned from their mistake and did not repeat the same mistake!

Ja się zastanawiam dla czego Yamaha tak uparcie brnie w dodawanie smyczków do pianin które umówmy się że są bardzo słabe. Uważam że lepszym rozwiązaniem było by dodanie jakiś fajnych brzmień typy PAD. I dla czego ciągle nie można zarządzać głośnością brzmień jak w KORGU D1 z możliwością zapisywania ustawień.

Through this direct lineout recording the P-125a rings more and the P-225 is a cleaner sound. Dunno which I would prefer to play. The actions are supposed to be very different.

Mam nadzieję, że nowa klawiatura będzie mniej stukała, niż GHS. Miałem pianina P-95, P-115 oraz P-125. Wszędzie ta sama klawiatura GHS, która po pół roku użytkowania wydaje bardzo głośne stuki. Serwis twierdzi, że to normalne.
P.S. Dni NATO w Ostrawie się udały? ;-)

Jest prosta odpowiedź dlaczego tak się dzieje. Producenci (tak! nie tylko Yamaha, ale też np. Roland!!!) oszczędzają na smarowaniu klawiatur. Podczas intensywnego grania ten smar wyciera się i dlatego klawiatury po czasie zaczynają się tłuc... Można to zrobić samemu po gwarancji, rozbiera się taką klawę dość łatwo, dobry smar w łapkę i smarujesz po kolei.. Nie ma na to innej rady. Ja z Rolandem tłukłem się na gwarancji długi czas zanim mi kasę zwrócili za FP30 z takimi samymi objawami. Tam to już w ogóle klawa tłukła się po roku jak powalona, a grałem dość sporo.. Yamahę mam 3 lata już i bardzo mało klawiszy tak się tłucze, ale ja ostatnio dużo mniej gram, czyli nie eksploatuję jej nadmiernie.

Takie porównania to ja lubię, od razu widać, że poprawili brzmienie fortepianu, a resztę to niekoniecznie. A jak z tą nową klawiaturą Yamahy, czy ona czasem nie ma krótkiego pivota jak te Casio compact?

It’s the exactly same Keybed.
Percebi que o p225 tem um toque maior de reverb no piano e em alguns timbres do que o p125, Já dá uma ambientação mais legal.
Também é um tanto mais encorpado, com um som mais rico.
A diferença é leve, mais dou bons pontos para o p225

The P225 piano patch sounds a bit muffled - why is that?
Probably the speakers. These comparisons are not that useful. I have a P-125 that I use live with a 20-piece jazz band. One problem is you are hearing stereo samples, when you play live, you are typically playing mono. I notice at higher volumes using QSC 12.2 speakers, they piano gets shrill and unpleasant. I'd be curious to test the P-225 live.

@@spada60Good for you. What I'm saying doesn't apply to you then does it? Many people play their keyboards in Mono for example they may not have two speakers IE for big-band rehearsal I don't want to drag 2 speakers. Also, some believe keys in stereo for live gigs is not cool because depending where you are in the stereo field, you may not get the full stereo effect. My point is, using a Mono output combines L + R into one signal which may effect the quality of sound since most of the samples were recording in stereo. When I'm listening to and comparing piano sounds I like to listen in mono as well as stereo to cover both scenarios.
@@jazzzman1000noted but sorry mono signal sucks. I understand in a mix it’s hidden the suckiness I’d text one but still mono sucks. It’s lifeless and boring. Anyway if your in a 4 or 5 piece band who doesn’t bring two speakers. Never saw a band without 2 speakers pro or amateur. If your playing very small venues why can’t you bring two speakers you hat get smaller lighter ones to carry.
@@spada60Actually my 80's cover band uses IEM's. The only stage sound is the drums and yes the keys are all stereo in my ears. The FOH is obviously two speakers (actually 4 with subs). It's up to the sound person to decide whether to use a stereo mix or not, I definitely feed them stereo. I think you're not understanding my point as I agree stereo sounds way better. I was just saying there are lots of scenarios (which I gave) where I'm not performing with 2 speakers. Have you ever played with a 20 piece jazz group? There would not be any point to dragging a pair of speakers to a weekly rehearsal where the room is huge and I'm sitting on the far side. Using small speakers is not an option for the kind of volume I need and the audio spectrum range of a piano.

Los bajos del 225 son menos profundos, el p 125 tiene más brillo en las notas medias y altas parece no ayrton? De todas formas esto está grabado a través de una interfaz, habría que probarlos con micrófonos externos para tener un mejor panorama, y saber qué tal la acción del 225
