Hey everyone, thanks for watching! If you have any questions about what I show in this video, or you just want to say "Hi", then please leave a comment!
Steve, I have been to this exact location a number of times and have many, many images just like this. I love the end result but getting there was a blur of clicks and sounds...do you have something that actually gives you the lead up to these actions that can be followed easily?
Hi Mark, there's a 40-minute (ish) walkthrough of the panels functions with explanations of what each button does and how it works on luminositymaskingpanel.com - let me know if that helps.
Very informative and eye opening however, I have been trying to register with you with a view to getting your panel and a course on how to use it but having tried three or four times I have not received a link to do so
Hi Barry, just checking my system I can see you entered your email address on a page offering a free video series and you appear to have received and clicked the first one. Is this what you're referring to, and it maybe just took a while to turn up? Or was there something else? Info on the panel specifically can be found at luminositymaskingpanel.com where there's a 40 minute video showing how to use all its functions. Most people have found that video plus these "processing subscriber images" videos have been great for learning how to use the panel, so there's not been any need for a specific course on just that. However, I do have a course on the "manual" way of doing luminosity masking, which can be found at postprocessingmastery.com. Hopefully this helps and clears things up, otherwise let me know if there is anything else I can help with. Cheers
Steve, very excited to see you process my photo from Banff, Canada. I love your approach. I shot this Raw file off to you without thinking...I should have included the 3 bracketed files I used in my processing. Kind of tied your hands sending you just one file. But you did a great job. I didn't handle the overexposed area of the sun very well, so I appreciate you showing a great way to deal with it. Here is my finished image: www.jrphotoart.net/work-avenue#/banff-ab-canada/. Thank you. James Ruse
Hey James, Glad to hear you enjoyed the video. All good re the exposure, it was only very slightly outside of the range of a single shot. It was a great image to work with and gave me a good head-start. The gallery you linked to in your comment is stunning too! Anyone else reading this, I'd encourage you to take a look. Cheers!

Great Videos. Does your Luminosity Masking Panel work with Elements 8?
Thanks Gary, sorry it's CS5, CS6 and CC only
Very nice edit
Thanks John! :-)

Can this be done in CS 3?
The underlying edits can be done, yes, however the panel shown in the demo only works in CS5 and upwards
