This is such an underrated series, Andrew Garfield did such an amazing job he was the most comic accurate as he was yhe biggest spiderman fan before hand
The mystery about Peter's parents is in the comics. This is the only Spider-Man movie that deals with it. Also, Gwen Stacy is Peter's first love in the comics. She also appears in the Toby Maguire version in Spider-Man 3 (played by Bryce Dallas Howard). In the comics, Mary Jane was the fallback girl. Dr. Connors is also in the Maguire version in Spider-Man 2 (remember the college class Peter was failing?).
Early on Peter in the comics had multiple love interests - (the older woman) Betty Bryant at the Daily Bugle, (the good girl) Gwen Stacy father the police Capitan and (the bad girl) Mary Jane Watson who ultimately became his main girl after Gwen died.
I looove Andrew’s Spiderman, his my favorite, the story of his parents and the relationship with Gwen are a good plus to the movie, I’m glad you watched it ❤️
That guy in black suit was Irrfan Khan he was the phenomenal actor in Bollywood but he died in 2020 it shook the whole country and the last movie of his was released after his death... Same with one more actor SSR you guys don't know him but yeah they both are famous in India
The phantom arm in the mirror trick is the only way some people can deal with -- and scratch -- persitent phantom pains, cramps, and itches, the last of which can cause extreme distress when the itch persists over long periods. There's a special box I recall seeing in the OT Department in college, made just for phantom arm itches.
I was highly attached to Tobey's Spidey so I was super bias when I saw this movie for the first time, yet as time passed and with more opportunities to rewatch it I have truly grown to love Andrew G.'s Spiderman and this movie.😊💚
The first suit Andrew has in this movie is my all time favorite. Some of the dark night shots with the dark red and blue with the gold eyes look so amazing… I love Tobey’s suit cause it’s my childhood, but Andrew’s suit in this movie is my favorite 🔥🔥🔥
This is easily the most flashy of the spidermen movies, and it works greatly! You guys are awesome for doing two marvel in a week. Twd, Amazing Spider-Man, then fear. Back to back bangers
Comic Peter doesn't produce his own web. He made web shooters so that's more accurate to the source material. In fact, I would say that this version of Spider-Man (not Peter btw, just Spider-Man) is the most comic accurate of the 3 Live-Action Spider-Men
I didn't mind this iteration of Spider-Man as they were able to capture some of the stuff from the comics that they didn't do with the Tobey Maguire films such as the mechanical web shooters, the death of Peter's parents, and the Gwen Stacy storyline. Unfortunately, the negatives stem mostly from the fact that Sony was required to produce these films quickly otherwise the rights would expire and return to Marvel. This meant having to see the same story retold again so soon. This was why Marvel Studios knew they'd be boring people if they did another origin story with Tom Holland.
Its the same with all the sonyverse movies nowadays unfortunately. They started making venom, just because they would lose the rights, as spiderman with tom holland didnt count as it was technically produced by Disney and their ideas, Sony is just involved to get in on cash by lending character rights. + they literally attempted to make venom an iron man of their 'universe' to copy mcu and their goldmine idea (+ venom trailers were literally so vague about their place in cinematic universes, that most people were sure it belonged in mcu, which it didnt, but it was purposeful false marketing to lure in additional mcu audience - Amy Pascal had uncomfortable interviews with Kevin Feige, where she talked about possibility of 'Venom' going into MCU and Kevin going like 'nope' each time, cause he wouldnt touch that shit with a stick - they literally wanted to force themselves into mcu without any quality movies in return - they just wanted to cash in easily on the fanbase with low effort movies). So it was double, if not triple cashgrab, falsely advertised movie made with nothing interesting at all in return for the viewer. It was literally cash motivated and it shows. Whats more painful is that with each of these 'sonyverse' movies, each time they get produce we have to wait another +3 years minimum for that character to be rebooted and treated with actual respect in mcu. Bummer on all fronts.
Andrew Garfield is really a good actor. Out of the 3 (Toby, Tom, & Andrew) Andrew is usually noted as the one who portrays Spider-Man the best. Toby tends to get the vote for the best Peter Parker, and Tom does the best portrayal for Spider-Man's teenager phase. As for the writing, it's like the Batman movies in a way that none of them quite capture the true comic character - but that isn't the fault of the actors as it is the writing / directing.
Hell yeah, finally you two meet my favorite spider-man!!! Ever since I saw it in the theatre when I was young, he's been my man. I love Andrew Garfield and I love his movies so much!!! I just know you two are gonna fall in love with him.
In the original Amazing Spider-Man comics, Gwen Stacy was Peter Parkers first girlfriend. Mary Jane Watson came later. 😊 The version of Spider-Man who had organic webshooters in the comics was Spider-Man 2099 from the futuristic 2099 Marvel line. Miguel O' Hara got his powers as a result of a gene splicing chamber similar to the one in the old horror movie The Fly. Except instead of being spliced with a fly it was a spider instead. Peter Parker on the other hand had always used mechanical web shooters and web fluid of his own design. He needed a way to get around quickly and he did not have a vehicle until later. 😊

Oh guys, you've seen the second one. Heartbreaking. I love the chemistry of Gwen and Peter in this rendition of Spidey, even if Garfield's Parker was a little too charming vs. what we've come to expect.
The vast majority of Spideman incarnations use mechanical web shooters. Tobey is an anomaly. The only other version I can think of that has organic webs is Miguel O'Hara, Spiderman 2099.
Well done for watching thi guys , honestly he’s my favourite spiderman but also Peter Parker too , he’s just cool , funny , swag and cocky . But also the villains , the Gwen and Peter chemistry and the movies in general are my favourite.
FYI, the reason this movie is called The Amazing Spider-Man is because that's what his original comic book series (as in: the first one where he was the main character, not the first one he appeared in) was called. He also later starred in The Spectacular Spider-Man (originally a 2-issue special, which was then revived as Peter Parker: the Spectacular Spider-Man in the 70s, and then went back to being just The Spectacular Spider-Man), which was also used as the title of an animated series.
