What i'd find intersti ng is a video of the local town/village and amenities, also travel distances to Sofia etc Otherwise i love your video's.
Thank you Adam, we regularly showcase the close city of Veliko Tarnovo in our videos and this area is approx. 3 hours from all of the major airports. To save on the renovation costs do you think it would be possible to knock down and remove the old school and replace it with a new building (or even prefab) same size or less?.

As long as you stay within the existing foundation boundaries, the process will be very simple. If choosing to extend, further planning permissions will be required 👍
@@ourderelictdream Do you know what the ball park building costs for new build per square meter is these days?.. I read something about 400-600 euros a sqm but that was a long time ago and know materials and labour costs on by have risen.

Hi Dean, we didn't hear from you via email, so thought would respond with more detail. As a Brit, to become a resident in Bulgaria you are required to obtain a Visa D. There is lots of information online about the standard criteria, for example, if you are receiving a state pension it is very simple. If not, then we can help connect you to our business partner for a Visa D, which can then be upgraded to residency. Otherwise you can come in on a tourist visa which is 90 days in, 90 days out. Feel free to ask any questions! It's not too difficult a process!

One question that I have for you is, and forgive the subject as it’s not relevant to this video but, what was your car-buying experience like?
Of course, real estate is the key factor but, we can’t help but wonder what vehicle purchases in Bulgaria are like, if the dealerships are local, pricing (of course),etc…
I know that, were we to take the plunge and relocate the very next item on my list would be transportation, and there are absolutely zero videos on YT for car-buying, new or used, in Bulgaria. Lee, perhaps that’s a video that you could put together to garner some views, seeing as you’ve asked before what your viewers are wanting to see. That C-Class Benz seems to be taking care of your family quite well, by the way. Well done.

There are dealers here that mainly deal with imports, and some good second hand sites. Check out mobile.bg for pricing. We know insurance is cheaper than other places we've lived but as this is our first ever car and we bought through a friend we don't have much to compare or advise from. I would love too see how the community is in these areas, particularly the Orthodox churches. Are they well attended? Do families bring their children?
Thank you for commenting, that's a great question. As we live in a very small village with few residents (and no church) we don't have first hand experience on this. They do traditional festivals as a community. We are moving to a larger village with more families so perhaps will find this out soon!

Can you build a smaller one?
we wouldn't guess an answer to this, would be one to check with the correct authorities, we're certainly not planning experts but can find out information if need be

I really enjoyed seeing the school. I would be interested if I was younger and my body was less broken. I would be interested in a single level fixer cottage with mature trees if you come across one near VT or further East. I don’t want to be more than 1/2 hour drive to hardware store and other amenities. Small village of 500-1000 suits me fine. An old gas station or fire house would really be awesome but probably few and far between.
