After a difficult upbringing, as I recall these experiences, they always appear as negative and destructive. Now after many years of enlightenment I have changed the past reality of these experiences to positive, happy, joy filled memories. What you have now expressed can also be manifested into future positive manifestations. I am right now manifesting tomorrows breakfast, by picturing, tasting and confirming my intention in the here and now.
I love how we can remember experiences, taste things, smell things, whether our feelings were happy or sad; it's such a gift of living! We are stardust inside of clouds!!
I got it, thank you. Then a nano-second later, it was follwed by the awareness that I always knew it, because truth is truth. Can you please follow this with how can we consciously drop the body, as our ancients knew and did so well. There is a delicate memory floating around in this nebulous space/cloud you describe of a time when humans here were consciously 'in and out' without all the fuss and sentimental drama that's present today.
Twenty-three years ago, I went to live with rare Yogis in the lower jungles of the Himalayas. In 4-years as the only westerner there, they showed me what is way beyond books; it just has to be lived. Then living alone in shepherd's huts in the higher regions on the borders of Tibet. Meeting people sometimes but always a longing for silent communion with the field as a whole. Aged 70, many wonderful soul friends have passed and yesterday, another... Back in the heart of the West these past 4-months, there's feeling of being enveloped in this 'cloud' of experiences/memories, as if floating in and out, and also a warm almost solid feeling of being outside this time and space - right now. Please speak of conscious samadhi... Love to you, dear.

Great teaching but there is more to learn. Why does the love we have for those who are no longer with us in physical form have intense suffering as it’s companion during the grieving process? If we go nowhere, our loved ones must still be with us, perhaps closer than ever, part of our being. To have the sure and certain knowledge of this would bring so much comfort to those who love.

You might want to check out some Abraham-Hicks videos relating specifically to this, and there are many more about death in general. I did a bunch of listening at one point when I was grappling with the subject, and it brought me a lot of relief. You'll also find many personal stories. I'll try to explain a bit.
Keeping in mind that everything is energy, basically it's about not being a vibration/energy match - they are in a joy vibration and you are in a misery vibration, and "never the twain shall meet". You have to find ways to be more vibrationally where they are, because they won't/can't? constrict to where you are, and it is a constriction. The love you have is not the cause of the intense suffering. Love doesn't hurt; it's the missing that hurts. As long as you believe they are missing and hold the vibration that goes with that belief, they won't be able to contradict you, and they very much want to. Hope this helps.

Taking it a stage further, if we can somehow release the vibration that goes with “ missing” them we find a new vibration which aligns with theirs and we are reunited in spirit? Might be wishful thinking but I hope it’s true. If so, I need to find the key that unlocks this door.
@@grahamkirkland2805 I think what they're saying is that you are united right now, but you just don't know it. People get signs in different ways, such as dreams when the misery isn't present, or coincidences that can't be dismissed as such and usually happen when you're caught off guard not feeling miserable, which are the most fun stories, if I can use that word in this context. I'd suggest starting with simply assuming they're around, which in itself is a change in vibration in the right direction. Just don't dismiss anything out of the ordinary. Even keep a notebook, especially for dreams, recording any details that come to mind. Details that may seem irrelevant at the time, often turn out not to be.
I can tell you one story involving my cat, Patsy, who died unexpectedly a few years ago, and I was having a really hard time with it. [Looking for relief, I stumbled onto Danielle MacKinnon on YT, animal communicator, if you want to look her up, who helped me a lot in the area of being more receptive. Lots of people looking for relief from losing a pet!] Patsy led me to...and I can't remember how anymore...a RUclips cat video! I had been avoiding them, couldn't deal, but for some reason I felt compelled to watch this one.
Patsy had a spot that she used to love me to scratch, and it made her do this weird thing that always made me laugh. Well, the cat in this video was being scratched in the exact same spot and did the exact same weird thing, and it really made me laugh, just to see it and knowing how I got there. So I'm pretty good about the "death" thing now. All the best to you on your journey!

I posted a much lengthier reply earlier with more info and a personal experience, and for no reason whatsoever, it has been deleted. This has happened multiple times over the past few weeks, and YT has been its typical completely non-responsive self. And every time I've tried to repost, it doesn't work. As with all of them, it's in my comment section, and shows up as "highlighted reply" when I click on it as if to edit, but doesnt show up when I drop down the reply arrow. This blew me away in pure joy and happiness ❤❤ I agree because I had mindoggling experience in 2014. In reality, there's no way I should be alive here, no way. So for now, I'm gonna use that/my experience to know it's totally true what you say. I believed in karma and reincarnation and all that before the incident, but what also blew my mind, I came back in the same form, which made things not make sense. Plus, my 2nd twin who passed in 2018, told me things like he had died several times and was even in the morgue. One of the attendants there said, "how many times are you gonna get off the gurney yourself. Unbelievable, yet...so right on. This is fascinating, Deepak.

Dear Dear Dr Chopra, thank you so much for this discussion! I’ve been meditating for many years ( sometimes on and off I’m afraid) and prefer TM ( seems to work best for myself), so have had that vague sense of the beingness around and within me, but I couldn’t express it in words well enough. I did have a NDE 30 years ago, which is why I began to meditate and question about life and what is happening to or within us as humans. It’s truly fascinating. I have the KNOWING of that which you speak. I’m so grateful now to hear someone put it into words. (?) Express it! I don’t pretend to understand totally my experience of my NDE, because it differed greatly to other’s experiences. I only know that that experience began my Spiritual search for truth. Thank you once again, and I truly look forward to hearing you speak again! I suppose the meaning of what I experienced during my NDE is not so important , as it lead me to this point, hearing people like yourself discussing such things! Thank you for your words. I have been writing a book about this for a few months and keep coming to the question: If every person was capable of understanding and embodying this in the deepest sense, how would the world change? Specifically, how would we begin to undo and evolve the systemic level of suffering within nations and the world?
The really incredible thing about our physical world experience of consciousness is the micro/macro relationship that exists within it. It is only with this True understanding that humanity will be able to solve problems of large scale like curing disease. For example, humans have the ability to focus our consciousness outward- expressing and creating. We also have the ability to focus our consciousness inward, observing and regulating our own behavior. If we are not conscious actors in our lives in the physical world, we start to cause harm to those around us, because we are unbalanced- acting outward without self reflection. Similarly, cancer cells can be characterized as cells that have unchecked, unregulated growth without regard for the greater body environment. They do not have the self-regulatory aspect of consciousness, and have in fact created their own tumor microenvironment to exist in within the body that it survives. This is what is happening in our media, our politics, religions, and all areas where people are interested in their VERSION of Truth (an opinion) instead of what Truth actually is, which is just what exists at any given moment, regardless of human thought or opinion about it.
Similar to immune cells, some human beings can detect elements of the environment that are foreign to self (Truth), but they will not act unless they are activated by a danger signal because it is against our nature to want to attack ourself unless our survival is at risk. We're now in a very interesting time where money and power is so misguided and also so cancerous and pervasive in nature that people do not know where to being to unwind the thread.
So question to you, comment section! If Deepak's theory of consciousness were true, which our direct experience of life suggests, we could say our purpose is simply to create the world we want to live in and coexist in our diversity because we are all the same thing. Where do we begin to connect and make change? And let's do it! Love to all. 🤍

@@PM-ng9te Consciousness/perception is still an illusion. In pure awareness/absolute oneness there are no individuals nor there's an experience of space and time. Have you by any chance stumbled upon the nondual teachings of A Course in Miracles? Ken Wapnick and Gary Renard are its two famous teachers.

The nice thing about this story is that Donald Hoffman, PhD and his fellow researchers are starting to prove this theory both mathematically and empirically. I think they deserve a Nobel prize for this genuine Copernican revolution.
I have been a student of Vedanta for the last decade and I feel I always knew I was never the physical body. Here’s my theory of everything… in each birth we download a packet or pool of energy. This energy surrounds us like a bubble with a permeable membrane. As the mind relaxes and frees from constant desire the membranes open and more passing energy aka thoughts and collective memories get accessed. This is why after meditation you recall previously unacceded memories. Since we are mere pools of bio magnetic energy that uses this body to realize the higher self it is natural that as the body drops you are just there where you always were but couldn’t conceptualize because of limitations of your brain and mind. We are a part of the microcosm and can never understand except through self effort that it all happens now and you are that which you seek.

Haha, I love your challenge at the end, Deepak, how specific it is, if one disagrees. Which I don't. After two NDEs as a child, there is no shred of doubt for me that we don't go anywhere. Except maybe we come HOME way more!

In your book Meta Human, page 179, you said, "Virtual reality is a fiction to begin with. Anything based on it participates in unreality ..." However, in this video, if I heard you correctly, you said everything is virtual reality. If I am quoting you correctly, could you please clarify your views on this matter?
Interesting I stumbled onto this just 2 hours after it was published... I agree strongly with the arguments. The difficulty of explaining this to most people I believe is because of the extreme simplicity of it... people are expecting some kind of very complicated explanation to answer these questions, when the real answer almost is not an answer at all... because the question itself expresses a serious misunderstanding of fundamental reality.... the question is not "real" so there is no "real"
answer for it. We are trying to understand how a microscope works by looking THROUGH the microscope... the mind's eye... instead of holding the microscope "at arm's length" and looking AT it... which is ( of course ) impossible... we don't have the answer... because we ARE the answer... all the powers of logic and reason are only valid to comprehend those things that are external to us... but they are useless for us to understand ourselves... because we cannot separate the observer... and the "observed".... they are identical... and always will be....
This was an absolutely amazing theory if you believe this to be true, you can use this to understand why you create your own reality and why manifestation is real

I can only say what I saw, felt, did & know from direct personal experience. When my brother-in-law died, his body was absolutely DEAD but, he, the living being or person was right there, hovering above his now dead body, and, when he realized that I was aware of him, be began to "speak" with me in a silent, telepathic way. This story is very long and complicated so I can only say that he was totally alive, well and extremely HAPPY in the other realm after his body died. He & I & my then wife had many communications over period of several months but I cannot (currently) prove any of this and most ppl either don't believe it happened or are AFRAID to accept that it happened. The main thing, for me, is that my brother-in-law, 2 wives, mother, brother, grand father and a few others did not die when their bodies died and continued in the "other realm" as alive, happy and extremely wise individuals. There is no death....just transition or moving on in a very different life than is experienced in the physical plane or realm.

Our memories are helping us to take future decisions.
We some times use others memories for the same purpose. ( of course the other person has to tell us) I.e sharing experiences.
When we die nobody is there to access the memories.
The base which stored it will also rot with the body.
When memory chip got crushed , no program can bring out it.

that's what i've needed to hear. My beloved husband passed away suddenly in a car accident a few months ago. I believe he is still here and exists in some other way. It is perhaps difficult to explain to the children who miss their father so much and want him in the same way. We feel loss and emptiness. How can children be helped to understand this?

Here an idea of a picture of this concept. Starting point of conversation:
Shape of the body: A torus (donut) , where the center is infinitely small and does not touch itself. (almost like a point)
As humans, we are essentially a point of possibilities on the surface of the torus. We have emerged from a point of all possibilities and will return to this point. We can take any path, but never go back the same way or cross the same point. We can only come extremely close to it.
The point begins its journey from the center (midpoint) of the torus and moves along the surface.
The movement of the point is completely random.
The point can only exit the torus in one direction and re-enter it on the opposite hemisphere (defined by the North/South axis).
The movement of the point is continuous (smooth).
The point cannot cross any point on the surface twice.
During its journey, the point can change hemispheres as many times as it likes, as long as it fulfills the aforementioned conditions.
Center of the Torus:
The center is considered as a single point.
The point enters the center variably and not along a fixed path.
Transformation:
Upon crossing the center, the point loses all previous information and movements.
This "cleansing process" occurs whenever the point reaches the center.
After crossing the center, the point begins a new, random journey on the surface of the torus.
Understanding of Terms:
Continuous (smooth): The movement of the point is uninterrupted and can be described by a continuous function. The point moves smoothly along the surface of the torus.
Transformation in a spiritual sense: Upon crossing the center, the point loses all previous information and movements, thereby "transforming." This symbolizes a cleansing process before the point begins a new journey.
Summary of the Task:
The point leaves the center of the torus and moves continuously along the surface.
The point cannot cross any point on the surface twice.
The point enters the opposite hemisphere of the torus (defined by the North/South axis).
Upon crossing the center, all previous information is erased, and the movement starts anew.
The movement of the point is entirely random.

I believe that we never leave spirituality, with each timeline, the timeless mind, through new informative data, increases its degree of complexity, ready to experience new adventures. As for extracorporeal experiences, conducted by an auditor, or by other means that It's not Samadhi in its natural form, I don't like it although I have nothing against it. According to forensic psychologist Julia Shaw, our memories are far from being the exact record of the past that we would like them to be. Everything is the here and now. 🕉

The control center for our memory is the hippocampus. This is where all sensory stimuli and experiences are filtered and sent to the various regions of the brain. Information that our memory wants to retain for as long as possible is stored in long-term memory. You are welcome.

I remember some very early awareness, before that was -nothing. Nothing, and then, awareness. My historical memory of those first impressions were: Being a fish.
Having several awarenesses, aware of jumping out the water and admiring the silver glint of my swordfish sword in the sun, eating, swimming. I was alone. I didn't feel the water. Overwhelming boredom and angst at my limited range of awareness. Later, my father (who I could see in my memory recall of the situation) capturing me on a fishing pole.
No pain, but dismay because I wasn't supposed to let myself be caught. Then, the emotion of overwhelming love from my father as he hauled me up on the boat. His heart was so loving!
The next memory awareness I had was being in utero, maybe 5 months, and having a twin brother. The brother was telling me to get out because there wasn't enough room. I tried to do what he said, and told him, I can't, because I am too weak. I was a firstborn, and unless the nun/nurses stole him (the doctor was at lunch), I was alone. They held my mother's legs shut for a half hour because the doctor would be angry if he didn't get to put his signature on the time of birth on the birth certificate.
I wasn't breathing and was grey, and they put me in an oxygen tent for 3 days.
I don't remember being born though.
My next memory was at 6 or 8 months. ??? Born in the 1950s.
Totally agree! Once in a while, if you listen, life gives us glimpses of that continuity! Déjà-vus , synchronicities… We are everything at once! 👍🙏❤️

When all memories are stored in Akashik Record in Cosmic Library, then when we recall, why can't we recall someone else's memory from that pool of collective memories from Cosmic Library? Do we have separate cosmic library for each body, innumerable bodies of same soul? Is consciousness splitted into innumerable souls never to be dissolved into collective consciousness?

The only thing in which i dont agree is the loss of the self ... i agree more with Huston Smith... after we die is the drop that is ready to accept the ocean inside (and enlarged self) and not the drop that returns to the ocean (loss of the self).

This sounds to be the explanation given over, and over and over by mystics and ancient teachers for 1000s of years, I’m not really hearing anything “new” per se, but just parallels to what Alan Watts, Neville Goddard, Abraham Hicks (Esther Hicks), Bashar (Daryl Anka), The Kyballion, The Ancient Hermetics, The Rosicrucians, The Gnostics, Zen Buddhism, Etc, etc, from my understanding have been saying this all along, just people have to experience the “aha” moment themselves to finally rediscover it. Sometimes requiring multiple rediscoveries through the ebbs and flows of this now experience to have a stable and visceral sense of comprehension and connection with source, Akashic, quantum field, whatever name we attempt to give the ineffable.
It seems to me it’s just another way we play with one another in this cosmic game of hide and seek with the god head, reminding each other who we really are through the most fascinating and complex games and then getting lost in it again and forgetting just because it feels so good to rediscover again, and again. As they say, if one is to know what pleasure feels like, then the opposite must be felt as well. The great cosmic dance of discovering our own unique preferences in order to experience this now moment more and more vividly and exuberantly.

its simular to the idea that physical reality is a dream and a projection of your conscious and that everything is a reflection of you. and when you die you actually wake up from the dream. there is also the idea of when you go to sleep in physical reality you actually wake up from the dream and when you wake up in physical reality you actually go to sleep

A theory that encompasses all beings is not possible. If people look different outward and their talents differ, their inner is also different, it's just that outward looks and talents have no correlation with the inside composition. So when they pass away, what happens is also different. Look at the animals, some are fierce and big, some are small and working hard all day long; that's how the inside of the humans are and their inner composition. It is a waste of time human beings trying to figure out these things by their own without any divine intervention. With intelligence there is always this intellectual curiosity to figure out everything, it's a problem with development of over intelligence. But Mr. Chopra is very honest in his work, focusing more on the practicality. He does not claim any sort of divine accomplishments like a lot of his peers. This tells you that he is a good spirited person, born without ego. A person born without ego when dies, goes out as like pollen and create a lot of other flower like spirits which will be born under their preferred circumstances. It is my theory.
Attention is reality.
"Death" is a shift of attention from physicality to the "dream world".
If we still have latent beliefs in our karmic body...those will play out.
If we are clear enough of karma...being Source awareness...we imagine a possibility and may decide to assume it as a "reality"

Hello sir, your thoughts have me thinking and wondering if what we rely on external support and validation (God) is man made? Are we left alone to figure things out? What about vedas and Upanishads? What about yugs? There is a lot to contemplate here. When we talk of karmas we talk of a system that is so perfectly constructed that we get what we give out. Your perception may also be your viewpoint but i don't think it can disregard everything we have known. Regards 🙏🌹

My theory is that we choose or should I say likely choose to recycle with something to resolve or in other word is continue to get something progressed that we could not. Beside that I think that we are granted a good chance or a bad chance by something Beyond our own hopes. Perhaps if we have been a good soul we stand a good chance recycled to finish our business. If we've been completely abusive to the good of our own humanity and of that of others we may be put into very much less than favorable circumstances when recycled.
