I was yelling at my screen "don't settle on the coast!" you could have turned one the hill north of start, since none of Denmarks bonuses actually use boats they aren't a coastal civ, they just like attacking by disembark.

With that tundra right next to London I think you could nicely show off some unique unit action (if it takes you that long to attack.)

I don't know if I call the settle "bad" but they didn't ask the question, "If truffles are 5 tiles away all game will that be okay?" Since you can see coast from the NE Hill.

I know this comment is so long after the fact, but why was the inland hill north east of the river cattle not a viable option? It seems like it would be safe from frigates, get further away from the tundra, two cattle and stone. You'd give up your dyes for truffles, but seems like a break even to me regarding that... and you still would've gotten the sheep. Chances are you wouldn't move away from your horses, but maybe your iron. Lands to the north may also have some added benefit unseen at turn zero.
Past turn zero, you would've gotten an extra cattle and extra grassland stone.

You are right, that inland hill would have been an amazing capital . I was in disbelief when he settled on spot due to zempt convincing him to do it.
