Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾 I’ve been on both of these ships… The SUNRISE was definitely more of a URBAN crowd (read between the lines) and the HORIZON was more diverse… I took my 3 oldest kids(28-26-24) and the SUNRISE was the way to go💯💪🏾🫡
I love both of them for what they are 😆 I know exactly what I’m going to get out of both cruises. Love that you took your kids as well. Love to see families cruise together.
The Carnival Sunrise always seems crowded because they made more staterooms to have more passengers. Yet, they didn't make the ship larger. So you have almost 3,000 passengers on a cruise ship designed to hold 1, 248 passengers.
The Sunrise was my first cruise in 2022, we went for our one year Anniversary. I fell in love, and now we are going on the Horizon in October for our 3rd Anniversary. Thanks for the review
Hello Vicky 👋🏽 if you liked the Sunrise you are going to LOVE the Horizon! October will be here before you know it. Enjoy the cruise and your Anniversary!
Been on both these ships. Was on the Sunrise many times as the Triumph. My wife and I both liked this ship. We were on it as the Carnival Sunrise and it wasn't as nice. The Horizon was much nicer than the Sunrise was. Never went to seafood shack. Cherry on Top is nice. Carnival has good food. Don't eat Sushi. Don't really like bars. One or two glasses of wine and usually with a meal. Carnival has good entertainment also.
The sunrise is the only cruise I could find where it offered a 4 night cruise over a weekend. I wanted something longer than a 3 night cruise. So it was really our only choice, this also includes any other cruise line too.
I know what you mean. We booked a 4 night on the Carnival Conquest and it starts on a Monday. I assumed it was a weekend sailing. I too wish they would offer more weekend sailings.
@@TravelStews From what it seems pretty much all cruise liners go for a 4 night cruise during the week and then use the same ship for a 3 night cruise over the weekend. It makes sense because usually people on a weekend cruise are just in for something shorter. Its my wife and I 10 year anniversary and she hasn't ever been on a cruise. I wanted something longer than 3 nights since we are no cruising very often and its a special occasion
Good evening,y brother I’m really enjoying the latest video you’ve made me want a cruise now. I’m taking our first cruise just me and wifey no kids. I want to relax and have fun🤝🏾👍🏾
@@TravelStews Half of the dining hall was not used. The serenity hot tubs were lukewarm and I wish the main pool wasn’t the only option. My daughter loved the kids camp but I was kind of ready to go off the ship before it was over. My other two carnival cruises were way better.
Welcome to The Stew Club! OMG I am so excited for you. July is right around the corner. The Horizon is incredible and you are going to love it. Is it a 6 day or 8 day sailing?
@@sparkles6293 we did the 6 days and I wanted more! I’m sure you saw in the video there is a ton of things to do. I want sail again so I can explore more areas of the ship. Have a wonderful time!
I LOVE LOVE MY SUNRISE but the only thing i dont like? The comedy club is sooooooooooooo small. but other than that Im currently booked on her for two more.
That’s awesome that you sailed the Sunrise and love it so much! I feel that way about the Horizon. I can sail it back to back and wouldn’t be bored. Enjoy your upcoming sailings
Yes My Son and I did a Mother/Son Cruise on the Horizon last June and we loved it!!! I did a cruise on the Sunrise the year before that and didn't really like that ship at all. Next up for us is a Family Cruise on the Celebration for 8 days.

That explains why so many areas get so congested like the pool deck! Thanks for sharing.

@@bansheezs 10 years that’s amazing. A cruise is the perfect way to celebrate!
thanks for the great info I was wondering about the differences.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
Nice video. We just subscribed!
Hello Marcia 👋🏽 welcome to the Travel Stews Family!
Very informative thanks my sister 🤝🏾👍🏾
I’m glad you found it useful! As always thank you for watching!
Planning a cruise. This very helpful I think I will do sunrise
Love that this was so helpful! If you want a shorter cruise you can’t go wrong with the Sunrise

That’s awesome. Which cruise did you book!
Thank you. I needed this. My family and I sail on the Sunrise June 10,2024.
👋🏽 Ericka, glad this was helpful. A family cruise on the Sunrise will be Epic. Enjoy yourself!
I have never been on sunrise but I was underwhelmed with the horizon. The only thing I liked was being in the family harbor….
Really that’s so disappointing. Maybe the Excel ships are a better fit for you. There are tons more to do and see and eat.

New subbie. I am going on the Horizon in July. Super excited

The Horizon is a great ship. I was IN LOVE! We are considering the Celebration as well. When are you sailing? Is this your first Excel Class ship?
That wasn't a mother son trip.. u just don't have no man
❤
Thank you for watching!

Just explaining the casual dining 😊
Have you been on excel class ships yet? I loveeee the horizon but keep pulling towards excel class
👋🏽 Tony, not yet! But it is on our wish list. It is hard not to love the Horizon.
@@TravelStews I'm going on the horizon again in August. 8 day cruise this time lol
@@tonythehitman1 8 days is perfect for the Horizon. I did not want to leave at day 6
Can you do horizon versus Mardi Gras next please and thank you.
👋🏽 Derrell I wish we could create that video for you. We still need to sail on an Excel class ship. Once we do we will be sure to create one.
@@TravelStews sure thing and much respect to you all.
The horizon is much bigger
It didn’t feel like it at times but it definitely is.
