Great choice of a kit to build Nige. Fantastic that you put in some diversity and are not just a 'one trick pony'.... I have done the little Atreides Ornithopter, which was a fun 'micro' build and have the 1/72 one and this one in the stash. Its actually great to see one of these being built be someone I trust who will give an honest review, warts n all! Please ignore the negative comment! No one is forcing them to watch and they don't pay a license fee to watch... Keep up the great work buddy 😀👍👍👍
Compelled to add a comment to encourage more diverse modelling. It can be great fun doing something out of the ordinary now and then. Love military modelling but it can be a rabbit hole!
Excellent! the "Meng, ming, mong, midge, whatever you want to call them!" intro was brilliant, made I laugh out loud! Cheered me up no end! Keep up the good work!
Excellent Nigel - It's a quantum level or two above the tiny box Meng version. Looking forward to seeing how this goes for you. Very instructional. Cheers
Dear Nigel, I fear that you have now started something! This company will forever hereafter be known as "minge models." Thank you. A thousand times thank you! Regards, Z
Hiya Nigel.. re snap / glue, I think it just depends on how well parts go together and /stay/ together. If they fit tight then I'd be inclined to leave them, but if they're loose and/or keep falling off and will be a pain in the proverbial I'll glue them. I watch World of Wayne on YT who does part-works, and he does the same.. gluing parts he know will be a menace even if the destructions.. oopsie INstructions.. don't say to. Unusual subject.. looking forward to this :) Quick question; why/when would you use a sanding /stick/ as opposed to a sanding sponge - assuming both were the same grade? OWW re the burn. My left hand's feeling is negligible, and one day I turned in the kitchen to answer the phone, turned back and only noticed I'd burnt my knuckle on my water boiler when I thought 'Where the hell's that blood come from?' The other hand is OK though; I just touched a radiator for a split second and yanked my hand away with an expletive. Ref figures.. I'd /suggest/ base coat dark as you have, then spray white from above (or in this case dark grey) to give you automatic shading, then use Vallejo Xpress or Army Painter Speed paints (not Citadel Contrast as IMHO the pots are useless and dry out too fast, plus they're more expensive, a double whammy). Then a light dry brush to pick up the uniform detail. Failing that ignore me as your figures look great as they are :)
Ever since I saw part one of the film I have wished for a kit of one of these ( the Atreides one for me 😊) so I will be following this build with interest. At present though, I think the kit is way overpriced so I am reluctant to buy one. By the way, Nige, have you seen the new Wingleader Hurricane Pt 2 book? I am waiting for the postman to deliver mine as we speak.

Morning Nige, brilliant choice of a different direction. I found mine didn't need glue.... except where it did.

Love the diversity of the kits. Keeps the channel fun!
Looks great vid and build 💪👍💞🍺🙏🐕
Nice to have something where you don't need to worry about the colours, the accuracy etc!

Thank you. A thousand times thank you!

You're welcome !!
Warning. Do not Google "minge models". Ask me how I know.
What a nice change!!
Looking good Nige, may dress up the cockpit a bit if the detail can be seen through those big windows.
I have painted the seats as you'll see in #2.
Nice build Nigel, the figures look a bit like a quintuplet...
They are. Each one is called Barry.
👍
Nasty looking burn, taking something out of the oven? Been there many times.
Yeah, I explained in the video I believe. I'm an idiot!!

Thats exactly how i do my models and part works. For example, glue those valves in the Mustang wheels.

You got great kits but you build (for my taste) silly kits like that..
