what if the customer sold the good and the new owner need it to be repaired, the associated bill of sales wont match. Any suggestions?

can someone clarify which locations are involved in this process? is it compulsary to use stock location for repair? the moves of the product to repair and the parts fpr the repairs are very fuzzy, please explain, thanks
