Twilight 22 programming & synth work is so clean because Gordon Bahary who is pretty much Twilight 22 was one of the most sought after recording engineer’s & synthesizer programmers in the 70’s & 80’s, he works with Herbie Hancock & does alot of work behind the scenes for Stevie Wonder…..Twilight 22 was a side project for the most part, and this track along with his other hit Siberian Nights took electro to new heights for sure. I really like all the little efx’s going in this track, like elephant sounds, bird sounds & rain forest snippets & ofcourse the heavy egyptian Melodie’s on this any many other tracks of Twilight 22. He is in such high demand all his life is the reason why Twilight 22 only lasted for a very short stint as a group. He’s been playing music since 10 years old & working with Stevie Wonder since he was 14/15 years of age, no joke…the Twilight 22 album self title album is underrated aswell, there some beautiful music on there other than just electro.
This is still the bomb. Played it today in my car after all these years and it sounds even better. What a cool track. I still have it on my Electro vinyl record. It sounds a bit speedier on that album. The Electro series is on RUclips as well. 🙂👍
Indeed, I remember we were pop-locking to this track when we bought the cassette album & to our surprise the album has alot of electro jazz & slow tunes on there, lol…u should have seen are faces when we were trying to figure this group out, most of the album doesn’t sound like electric kindom 😂….we were all 15
I've always been amazed by this tune... All the little bits that make up the tune.. Like, who decided to put them bongs in (at the beginning - bong bong bong bong) you know what I'm taking about.. And that sweet little melody at 3 minutes 31 seconds.. Classic tune!! 😎👌🏻💥🙏🏻
Curti muito quando era mlk, nos diversos bailes do Rio de Janeiro: Cruzada, Rocinha, Mangueira, Mauá, Pericá, Mesquitão, Santa Marta, Manequinho, Tabajara...
Music unifies all of us. This was an electrifying era in time. I'd give anything to be able to relive those days and times. Music and television was at it's fiery best back then.
This was the best hood music back the in day …I think about not break dancing..I think about them low riders cars with loud music and dark tinted windows..It was so awesome back then ..
The thing that Electro music did that no other genre could is that with cams on at night this shit will take you on a ragga trip of epic proportions without drugs etc, just the vibes. This shit is still cooking in May 2019!!!!!!!!!!!
Master mix I used to DJ these music with Electric Kingdom Planet Rock clear number and others old school I used to be a DJ back in the day I still have all the jams in my head
Dope Beat 1 Of My Favs Back When i Growing Up in The Hood where it was Good break dancing Poppin No Guns just Rumble 1 0n 1 Stop The Killing Young Black America Wake Up smelled The M Fuxin Coffee

Still a solid tune today in 2020, 35 years after breakdancing to this in the school gym!
Old skool electronic music broke down boundaries and brought people together with break dancing... and roller skates, roller skates. 😁
