I'm working in a character that works at a circus, and so cool i found this video :D there is so much to this, thank u for showing the parts we don't get to see most time
Congratulations! It was my childhood fantasy to work one day in a circus. I was watching you and admire the workout you need for such a tough job! Nowadays in Europe we don't have have circuses. Especially in Greece where I live. PS .How strong you are!!!! I always wanted to know what are your last thoughts before stage?
Aww thank you 😊 your so sweet. Haha I love my workouts and the fact that I get to workout as a part of my job. That’s so sad there aren’t any traditional circuses in Greece ☹️ do you have theatres that put on different types of shows? Hehe yes I’ve been told I’m quite strong gotta be for the aerials I do 😝 umm last thoughts usually are to enjoy getting to be on stage performing 🤩
Thanks for sharing! My 4yo daughter went to a circus for the first time yesterday, she was super excited to see the acrobats perform. She enjoyed your video, specially your performance practice.
This is legit my dream job to be a circus performer ❤ you and many other people have inspired me to do aerial arts as a sport as well as a head start for my dream job in the future im now 13 started aerial arts 5 months ago!❤also i have realised your accent is Australian i am too btw❤
Hi Ellen. Just was typing in my RUclips to find life in circus 🎪 🙃 and saw you channels. Its would be nice see all you team how friendly you are? Also would be nice see your day routine :))
Cool that you found this video! It’s funny I often don’t film other people cuz I’m socially anxious and sometimes ppl don’t want to be filmed. But I am happy to chat and answer questions about the environment and people. When you say day routine do you mean like a day when I’m not working?
I love these and watching and following along with your Handstand videos. I already feel like I'm getting somewhere with it. Thank you so much! Do you think you could do some straps tutorials for beginners?
I want to be a circus performer but I have a pet cat. Is it possible to have my cat around as a circus performer or would she have to be left with somebody while I'm away?
it really depends on the circus you join. I know traveling circuses in Aus allow pets. Chat to the circus you are joining. Also depends on how you think your cat will cope with living inside a small space - caravan
Great video, I love these! Odd question, but you mentioned people being shuffled around the caravans... who does your caravan belong to, then? I never thought much about accommodation for circus performers
Aw thanks 😊 ahh yes so this show owns a whole bunch of caravans which they put temporary performers in. Yeah accom for traveling performers is either caravans for traditional big top shows or in a hotel for other types of shows 🙂
So this is a great question. First off the circus that I work at we have NO animals. I have seen quite a few other big top circuses in Australia and most of them don’t have animal acts. I think It’s devastating that some animals were mistreated in the circus personally 😔
How were you able to join the circus? Although the circus I want to join is a different one but I’m curious I’ve always wanted to be apart of it even if I didn’t perform
So this show that I’m with in this video, I wasn’t performing with, just working on the bar and doing one of the spotlights for the show. I ended up joining this one because my partner at the time was working there. But my other job at Dummies Corp. who I perform for at the moment I got into by doing their audition.
Do any of your coworkers have children in the circus? My husband and I are ex professional figure skaters currently training in arial hoop/moon/pole and inline skate. We have very young kids whom are also in the arts. Wondering if people continue their careers after kids
Hey Natasha yeah so many artists have kids. At this circus there's a couple kids now (at the time of writing this) and even in contemporary circus shows people have kids. Performers always range in age with some of the most professional high earning artists being older.

You KILLED IT!!!!
Your strap skills are awesome! 🤩 When do you get to perform a routine? Or does it depend on the show?
thanks. I perform in another show that I also work for.
I like circus themes and I imagined myself being in a circus in a young age that would be kind of new I like trying new things 😊😊
what kind of circus skills would you want to try?
I love your vlogs.
Loved this! Thanks for filming it
Glad you liked it thanks

You are living my dream life lol, I've always wanted to live and be in a circus, although everyone tells me it will never happen QwQ
Don’t listen to em, live the life you want to
@@EllenHenry0 thank you :D
So do circus performers operate like on a contract for a few months? Cruise ship workers do.
Yeah most performers are offered contracts and they can range from a 1 off gig to a 1 yr contract or longer depending on the company
Whoa.....!! I subscribed.....I am sure ull get more ones within a short tym
Can you do what you eat in a day I would like to know how you keep yourself in shape by food not just work out ☺️☺️☺️
I sure can!

Best fun jobs
I really want to be a circus performer when I grow up but in my country there's literally no circus' :(
Damn that sucks what country are you in?
Scotland 😔
@@maddiesmarvellisrecipes damn maybe it’s an opportunity to create your own!
Same here
How do you personally feel about the animals being hurt?
