Good effort by Hampton to compete with the BEAST. BGMM
Great 5th Quarter both came out throwing punches, but what got it for me was A&T hit'em with that song before Spiderman Annulation and Annulation and them counts Ashlynn was throwing in Annulation wasnt nothing but pure fire!!! 🔥🔥🔥 good BGMM and Golden Delights yes ma'am y'all did that 👏👏👏

Yea there are timing issues going on and it's been happening with every battle. If they can fix that then everything will be fine.

Hampton baritone need to play for their size and stop trying to match A&T power. Same for them horns .. they would sound much better … all that damn blaring and splatting .. now Hampton tubas sound nice tho . A&T 🔥.. but damnit we been listening to these same recycled songs for weeks. Really need them to open up the book .
Definitely agree with you on that. It looks like it’s mainly the 2 baritones on the end doing way too much (sometimes the guy next to them joins in too😅). Just play your part correctly as a section and not stick out. I think blend and dynamic control is a big issue for Hampton. Too many sections are playing as separate entities. Now for NCAT euphoniums: Y’all gonna have to work on that Annihilate, it still sounds like half the section is unsure how it’s supposed to be played (in both octaves). The arrangement is good, we want to hear the same confidence that the mellos bring to that part!
@@Tboneman35it still a great improvement since introduced during the Norfolk game. The Golden Delights definitely helped boost it scoring for me. I don't think they need to add anymore until they mastered the ones they having a little trouble it's the only way that what you call Confidence will get there. All this is preparing for Rose Bowl parade. They gotta take them steps they are about perfection
A&T with the Dub! That Chicago is my favorite arrangement from the BGMM this year. Wish those people wasn't in front of GD... 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

No "poor Hampton." The Aggies, with their numbers, should have won the battle overall. Although, with the those numbers, NCAT was not that impressive as in years past. Intonation issues throughout the 5th quarter. Wait until HU continues to grow. Win while you can.

Hampton had one trumpet player damn near sounding louder than the Tubas I'm like with dat extra alum didn't help. I expected better from Hampton being they the only two in conference and it's their homecoming and the only time these two great institutions bands get to battle this was more like a dog and rabbit fight wasn't much put effort in Hampton's battle here if you can't keep it 💯 I will....

W0W!!!! These bands are frickin' Vegas Talent. That's a compliment Out West. I don't listen for loudness. I listen for style and complexity. This is a tie for me. I will say 'Between The Sheets' was a great arrangement. I love the Blue uniforms. Go Navy! PERFECT blending both bands. Snares go to 'Between The Sheets'.

Actually they did really well. Just need to work on the beginning. At Gotham city it was flawless.

@@Big_Bake 2 months late but I can say that it sounded flawless at the gotham botb, so not too much on the song
NCAT for the win but both bands need work. Lots of muddled parts and missed notes between both. HU just overplayed. Did you hear that trumpet flub at the end of the NCAT Isley bros piece? NCAT has a tempo problem between different parts of the band. Still though NCAT was much better.
