But did you know they were both known as SM's genius trainees? They became roommates and were the strongest duo since then. There are many pre-debut videos of them together. Jeno & Jaemin entered SM on the same day, becoming best friends instantly. They trained with Mark & Haechan and became close friends, even attending school together. They were known as the "SOPA F4" during their high school years, basically the most popular boys at their school. Additionally, Mark, Jeno, Haechan, and Jaemin basically raised Jisung as he was extremely young when he became a trainee. Collectively, these 5 members were known as Baby-TVXQ for their enormous potential as future artists. They were casted and starred in the Korean version of Mickey Mouse Club as well as performed covers songs at various concerts. Through these performances, Renjun saw them on TV and wished to be a performing artist like them. He then saw that SM was holding an audition a few hours from his hometown so he took a train ride to attend that. And then to his surprise, he became a trainee and part of the Dream lineup with his "idols." The life path that lead each member to Dream is really something else and really speaks to their name as a group.
Glad you got to finally see a Dream guide! You'll obviously learn about them more thoroughly simply through contents, but this was nice all the same. The Dreamies talents and relationship dynamics are really everything. I don't have a favorite NCT unit, simply because I'm an NCTzen through and through and love them all fiercely and equally, BUT if I had to choose, I definitely feel closest to Dream if only because I am the same age as them and can relate to them SO much.

I also remember their struggles after Mark's departure when their futures were uncertain and with SM prioritizing NCT 127 meant Haechan was more often with 127 and not Dream. Both Jeno and Jaemin really stepped up for those two years in their leadership and were almost everywhere and in some ways really managed to get Dream even more in the public's eye. Fans jokingly used to refer to them as Dream's "teenage parents". With Mark's return, they've both taken a step back especially Jaemin, who as an introvert, would rather be in the background to begin with. They have tonnes of content online which will probably familiarise you with them. They truly are a fun, chaotic and extremely loving group probably because they grew up together.

unfortunately this guide does a GREAT disservice to haechan😔 and so does his own company AND majority of this fandom as well; haechan doesn't have any solo singing gigs like chenle did this year (lee mujin) BUT it won't change the fact that as of now haechan is the THIRD most critically acclaimed vocalist of NCT as a whole! he's more than just a "unique vocalist"; his vocal technique is unmatched and he has received a lot of praise and recognition by SM seniors, other professional singers, vocal coaches and producers specifically for his vocal technique. Some of these people would be taemin, ryeowook, suho, minhyun, deez (prodcuer), junny (songwriter), kim youngdae (renowned music critic). In fact, haechan has the best vocal technique in nct dream and is by far the strongest vocalist there.
