That ending was full of stupid plays. Everyone remembers Reggie's shove of Greg Anthony and the turnover that led to the tied game, but then Indiana somehow forgot they were now tied and fouled John Starks the way they originally intended to do. Starks went to the line and bricked two FTs with a chance to take the lead. Somehow, Indiana let the Knicks get the rebound and keep possession, but it didn't matter because Patrick Ewing stupidly went up with a jumper there rather than holding for the final shot. Next, of all people, they then ended up fouling Reggie to go to the other end and hit FTs for the lead. Lastly, the Knicks so terribly handled the final possession that they didn't even get a shot off. Wild incompetence of every sort.

People do realize they did lose that series where he scored all those points in 9 seconds. Was it 7 in 9 or 9 in 7? Something like that. I would've been 8 or 9. Was 100% watching with my dad all the way in Tuscaloosa, AL though. Sitting at the "bar" in the living room on a barstool. At that time, (after parents divorced) Pops' living room consisted of a "bar", barstool, broke ass couch, and a 48 inch fat back tv. But it was Heaven to 8 year old me. NBA on NBC used to be a special viewing time at my dads house. Good memories! Just wish my Supersonics wouldn't have always choked in big games back then! Anyways, had no intent to vent when I clicked comment but that just shows how much NBA playoff games can stick with you forever
