First Author ► Dan Theodorescu, MD, PhD, is the Director of the Cedars-Sinai Cancer Center in Los Angeles, California. He received his urology training and PhD in molecular and cell biology at the University of Toronto, then went on to complete a clinical fellowship in urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms driving cancer progression, seeking to use this knowledge to develop tools to determine outcomes and new therapeutics. He has published over 350 scientific articles spanning basic to clinical cancer medicine. He has been elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), the Association of American Physicians (AAP), and the National Academy of Medicine (NAM).
