    The rear mech alignment tool and the bb bearing press are ~£200 each 😮
    That’s why you use a LBS 😉

    • @nicvieri2627

      Some tools are mega expensive, but it’s worth it for how much we use them.

    • @themoodyteam
      @themoodyteam 3 месяца назад

      @@nicvieri2627 how many times would the average cyclist use a bearing press. If I needed one, my LBS has (a considerably cheaper) one.
      The alignment tool would be nice, but not essential.

    • @nicvieri2627
      @nicvieri2627 3 месяца назад +2

      Yeah, you wouldn’t use it that often, unless you do all your own servicing. If you did get one I’d go for the new Enduro BRT-060 Linear press. You. An do wheels, bb’s and pivot bearings with them.

    • @yonglingng5640
      @yonglingng5640 3 месяца назад

      Both the hanger alignment gauge and BB press are overkill for home mechanics. A Park Tool DAG-2.2 and a BSC Tools BB press is enough. They're still kind of expensive, but they're more attainable.

    • @themoodyteam
      @themoodyteam 3 месяца назад

      @@nicvieri2627your first reply was justifying the cost because of all the times you used them.
      Your second reply you said that you wouldn’t use them very often 🫤
      So which is it; you’d use these expensive tools a lot, or not very often?
      That bearing tool you suggested is ~$300 🙈
      How many bikes do you think you own and service on a regular basis?

    Why do you paint your workshop black? You'll find that a lighter colour will reflect light better, and lead to a general lift in mood, and better ambient conditions, so you can see finer stuff better (or older people don't have to squint at small print) rather than oppressive shadowy dark.

    • @nicvieri2627

    Folding hex key sets in a pro shop like that? Stuffed in a travel bag OK, but I'd be worried handing my bike over to someone wielding a folding hex key rather than a proper L shape, t-handle, etc. no matter what the brand name on it was!
