Why doesn't this album get more love? It's a fuckin masterpiece, in my humble opinion. Right up there with What's Going On and Songs in the Key of Life. Yes, that good. It is also what is referred to in rock circles as a 'concept album,' and a damn good one. Millie's vocals are sensual, husky and unique. Plus, the backing vocalists and the musicians are so on point. Go and listen to 'Tell Her It's Over,' and you'll see what I mean. I think it's a classic of soul, and should be recognised as such.
