Just un-boxed it last night. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent! I think it's great too!
its been 4 months, you still like it?
Can it go out to a PA? Thanks.
@@bruhemian Absolutely
Is this thing still worth buying?
Having recently got myself this set, I’ve only just realised today from watching this video that it had teaching sessions. I will definitely be doing this everyday so that I can hopefully improve over time x
Thnx mate I might get it for Christmas
Thanks this really helped my son
Thanks for the review. I got one 3rd hand.. something is not working. Before deciding for a repair shop, does anyone knows how to factory reset?
My dad got it for $200 in sale and the last kit for my birthday
how do you add new sounds??
Can you utilise the hi hat pedal as a second bass pedal like you can on Roland kits?
Hi, I have this one, but... I have a problem, the drum module do not respond and I need to restart my drum module, but i don´t know how, can you teach me or show me how?
thanks
Can you please tell me how to change the sounds using pc?
Gonna buy one, how do I hear the audio? Are USB Headphones ok? Are jack speakers (like the ones from my PC) ok to play those?
I bought it and filled it with fart sounds. "Its wasnt me honey,it was the drum kit"
weirdo...
My thoughts on this kit..yes its cheap..a good way to start at any age..build quality isn't great tho..if your buying 2nd hand, you'd better be good with a soldering iron..I just bought a 2nd hand kit and had to repair EVERY pad and Cymbal 🤷♂️ all had dry solder joints causing either no sound, or low sound or repetitive glitching and broken LED's.lots of them...but sound samples are pretty good..TBH you will want an Amp because although the headphones volume is ok..but you will be wanting to show off your skills pretty soon 😁 I use a single Marshall bass guitar amp.
So..Decent kit but shitty build quality, as well as soldering I had to beef up and repair every pad underneath as the short plastic connection tube was broken on every pad..REALLLLLY soft plastic..if you can get it Cheap..go for it.
How will it sound through a pair of powered monitors, decent for learning and messing around at home?
What can you do if the variation button isn’t lit up
Can you change it to left handed?
Yes
Is there any kind of double kick pedal feature or would i have to buy another kick pedal?
Is this thing still worth buying?
Has anyone tried any solution to customize the snare drum position in alesis dm lite kit? Is there is any accessory available which I can buy to position the snare drum for easy access ( like an acoustic kit )
Does it come with usb cable or should we buy it separately
can you use a double bass pedal? or program the high hat pedal or something?
does anyone knows how to get out of coach mode? I can't change in to patterns or drum sounds, basically I can't do anything apart from coaching
Having the same problem. Did you figure it out?
Just pattern and tempo buttons together.. the same way you enter coach mode.
@@Mrcockington Just pattern and tempo buttons together.. the same way you enter coach mode.
Will it need an additional speaker?
Yes, or headphones
Vatiation button not working.. what can be the issue?
is it worth buying?
Can this connect to an amp please
Hey, my Alesis drum kit just arrived today! It's all set up now BUT the snare and second tom drum are REALLY quiet, even with the volume turned all the way up (I use headphones) so the sound of me hitting it is louder than the actual drum sound.. I've made sure that they are connected properly, I don't know what the problem is.. Do you have any suggestions for the solution? Please help! Thank you.
Having same issue, any solutions?
Same 4 years later
Same
Anyone else is having issues with the open hihat sound? Mine when I hit the sound is terrible and slow even hitting fast.
This didn't really show us how to connect to the computer...
does the usb cable only work with apple computers?
No. USB should work with anything with a USB slot!
okay great thanks!
Do i need to purchase an amp as well.
The jack looks pretty standard so if you have any regular headphones/earbuds you could use that.
is it touch sensitive??
Yes. It doesn't seem like the bass drum is that dynamic, but the rest are velocity sensitive.
Bass is not very pedal sensitive. Difficult to play jazz music
How to shut off drum coach
Pedals are not that great. Hi Hat only closes when you push very hard
Gotta' hear how it sounds....That's what most people want at first...If it sounds like crap, then all the other stuff doesn't matter.
True, but you can use any sounds you want with this as it's general MIDI. So you can use your own module, or use sounds on a computer etc.
If anyone is thinking of buying this, don't! Biggest pile of crap going, pedals are absolutely abysmal (especially the bass). It's unresponsive and has terrible hit recognition. Do yourself a favor and get one of the gear4music kits
Not touch responsive 😢
I can't exit the coach mode.
Dashing Dewey same
Don't buy this. You can't adjust the trigger threshold, which means that if calibration is off you just have to live with it. My toms started triggering cymbals after a couple of weeks of play, and there's just nothing I can do about it, huge waste of money.
